Audio From Glenn Beck's Radio Program (Aired LIVE 10.22.09)- Did you know OnStar has the ability to shut off your engine, deflate your tires and listen to what you are saying inside your car?? It's true. They never used to use this technology, though it has been available- but now that the government is running GM, apparently they have decided to go ahead with it..Did we miss that press release? At the very least, it should concern you..with this kind of technology in the wrong hands..

I’ll keep my 18 year old Mazda, thank you.
Another nail in the coffin for Govt Motors...and well deserved!
Good blog post over here: http://bungalowbillscw.blogspot.com/2009/10/government-now-has-control-of-general.html
Another reason never to buy anything from Government Motors or Gettlefinger Motors.
I knew there was a reason why I don’t buy GM. I’ll stick with my older vehicles, thank you very much.
I wonder if they’ve been listening to me karioke Guns and Roses, that’ll teach em’
I’ve got two old F150s than can probably keep me going for another decade or more if I take care of them.
Deflate your tires?
Ummm, exactly how would they do that? I don’t seem to recall any electrical wiring going to the rim or tires.
Non-computerized cars are going to become like automatic guns - can’t buy a new one, but still some old ones in circulation.
There are plenty of real things to worry about: Iran thumbing it's nose at Hussein and continuing to reprocess uranium. Hussein pressuring Israel into an untenable and unsustainable peace agreement. Hussein dismantling our missile defense shield at a time when a shield seems all the more important. Hussein engaging in outright voter fraud, and encouraging voter intimidation with co-conspirators ACORN and the New Black Panthers, etc. etc. etc.
GM's ON Star doesn't seem very pressing in the big scheme of things.
Constantly.
Let them see the light or drive `em nuts.
A very small number of GM SUVs have central tire inflation, but even then it’s an option.
“electrical wiring going to the rim or tires”
I know there are valves that are linked electronically to warn of low pressure.
If OnStar wants to shut off my car, they’ll have to crash a satellite on it.
Could be a wireless signal.
Check later.
Some of the new cars can adjust tire pressure while driving to account for road conditions. If they can adjust, they can deflate.
Pygmies & blow darts.
