No, she’ll get a fee assessed to her account for $39, insufficient following of directions.
Hope so. She is too stupid to be working at a bank.
“does that say ‘gub’ ?”
ALL (and I do mean ALL) banks and retail businesses instruct their employees to hand over the money in this situation. No amount of cash in the till is worth an employee’s life. This story could have just as easily had a tragic ending. I do expect they will either fire or discipline her to prevent others from attempting the same thing (although clearly, it was the very last thing this robber was expecting). Nobody wants to start playing the percentages here, even if the odds are as good as 50-50.

It is also probably true that a sane robber would quiclky see that there is no point in adding crime upon crime by shooting her if the money is still not accessible. But what is the chance that a robber is reasonable? Wise, reasonable people usually don't rob banks, they own them (or at least work at them.)
That’s what I was thinking. Shades of the Home Depot (or was it Lowe’s) employee that got sh*tcanned for following a shoplifter out of the store.
Exactly my first thought...
maybe the pimp roll with the inkbomb wasn’t available..
It’s amazing that someone has the wherewithall to even do anything remotely like this. I was held up by two gentleman with RIFLES. I couldn’t even open my mouth! I also witnessed a bank robbery. I was the next in line and I thought the teller was all nervous because the guy was cute! I went out of my way to see what he looked like when he turned around...so of course the next two hours I was stuck at the bank with the police!

There’s no guarantee that the robber wouldn’t shoot whatever her response. Praise the Lord that no one was hurt!
She should be fired. By not handing over the money, she opened up the bank to a potential hostage situation/shooting of innocent bystanders if the culprit is not in the mood for games. If you give them what they want, they will not hang around there, and law enforcement can take over. She got lucky.
Maybe, just maybe, she saw the the perp wasn’t holding a real gun, but a air gun or a fake plastic gun. Not saying, just saying that maybe that was why she refused. For those of you saying she should have given the money to him, it is no guarantee you won’t shot simply because you hand over the money.
She probably wanted to give him the money,
but was afraid to tell him the bank was
insolvent.
Agree....she will get fired for not acting like a sheep and doing as the BG says.
Pathetic country we’ve become.
Its the persons call. If her life meant less to her than the banks money she did absolutely the right thing.
