Well, if the RNC does what it did in this race--support a candidate even more liberal than the Democrat one--then what's the loss?

No.

The RNC did not pick the candidate. The local two-headed Rupublican county chiefs in NY-23 picked the candidate.

The RNC then got envolved by giving Dede the normal allocation of money only after Dede promised to sign the no tax pledge.

Please explain how handing over a bunch of cash is not “support” for a candidate? Please explain how an endorsement is not “support” for a candidate.

The RNC has the opportunity not to support a candidate that the county chiefs choose. But they chose to support the liberal.
