Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's nomination process was so controlled that the White House even approved her clothes, she told Yalies when she appeared at her 30th Yale Law School reunion on Saturday.
Sotomayor described her grueling nomination process privately when she spoke to 1,800 alumni, students and faculty , the New Haven Register reports.
State Sen. Ed Meyer attended the event and said Sotomayor became teary at times, but kept the crowd laughing.
The Yale Law School grad talked about shopping for clothes to wear to her acceptance ceremony, but government officials took over the fashion decisions. They told her to bring five suits and then recommended which one she should wear, Meyer said.
Remembere the big deal made about the campaign dressing Palin?
Grueling? As compared to whom?
Robert Bork? Clarence Thomas?
She was given everything other than a limo ride and a red carpet. Sheesh!
No doubt they’ll be “picking out” her decisions too.
You have got to be kidding.
That WH fashion police needs to work on Michelle Ma-belle. She’s a disaster —— regardless of how the Lame-Stream press label her.
Which was why they chose her, to begin with...

This will be screaming headlines on all MSM front pages, just like Palin’s “wardrobe”, right?
Did the WH give Al Franken his “special” question about a TV show ?
The list, ping
Bear with me here, but I’m wondering what the chances of her getting tired of being a puppet for the White House and turning Right. Of course, we keep thinking that the press will finally tire of being whores for the White House, too, and that’s not happening.
:-)
Entirely possible, as Franken is unable to walk, and chew gum simultaneously...

Sort of the same thing happened to Mrs. Palin. Isn’t this kind of insulting to Sotomayor, and her personal taste and sense of style? Did they think she was going to arrive in a Carmen Miranda outfit with platform shoes and fruit attached to her headgear? She seems to take this all in stride, but if I were a “wise Latina,” I would have confidence enough in my own taste and knowledge to figure out what looks good on TV, what doesn’t and what is appropriate for a Supreme Court nominee to wear. I am trying to imagine Reagan telling Sandra Day O’Connor what to wear, or Bill Clinton’s White House have the nerve to dictate to Ruth Bader Ginsburg what were appropriate outfits to wear in public. The “wise Latina” doesn’t get it: SHE HAS BEEN DISSED BIG-TIME.
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!

And what a bunch of loathesome control freeks in the White House.
State Run Media commentary. Remember? By the way ALL top candidates from both parties get wardrobes and consultants.
One shall infer that none of these government officials were white men, for we all know, thanks to Sotomayor, none of them could have been wiser than this latina woman.
She described the process “privately” in front of a crowd of 1800.
