White House vows to play nice with Fox News

WASHINGTON — White House advisers pledged on Sunday to book administration officials on Fox News despite claims by the president's inner circle that the cable network is a GOP mouthpiece whose programming “is geared toward making money.”

Last week, White House communications director Anita Dunn said Fox News operates “almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party.” On Sunday, Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Obama's chief of staff, said, “It is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective.”

In response to the criticism, Fox News executive Michael Clemente on Sunday accused the White House of continuing to “declare war on a news organization” rather than focusing on issues such as jobs and health care.

Since the base largely isn't getting their way on health care and global warming so far, the Obama Admin just got 'em stirred up a bit by a halfhearted bash of Fox. When all is said and done any RESPONSIBLE news company wouldn’t even care whether or not the WH plays nice. There are always sources and commies are among the most corrupt of the corrupt—intellectually and moneywise.

The real story line, I hope, is the the WH is throwing Fox some crumbs to get it to stop asking inconvenient questions.

Did everyone hear John Stossel on Fox this AM. He has joined FOX and everyone made a point of saying FOX was about NEWS.
Anyway...Stossel said that he had several news packages about HCR that ABC REFUSED to air.

Well he made it official. ABC is filtering the news to ONLY air PRO DUM Stories.

No, I am not so much PO's as I am concerned about the future of the country. I am worried for my chldren's future opportunity to make or break it by their own industriousness. Their freedoms are being taken and codified in the law by this administration and if this health care jugarnaut, unless stopped, will require them to pay up to 80% of earnings to the federal government. Freedom is the answer. As John ADams said, "This constitutional republican form of government is wholly inadequet for any other than a moral and religious people." George Washington said our republic's survival is dependent upon the chains of virtue of every man. In otherwords, we don't conduct our lives properly because the law demands it, but we conduct our lives in proper fashion because it the the right moral thing to do. Freedom!

I fear we have lost, as a nation, a love of freedom and exchanged it for a desire of creature comforts.....glad to exchange that precious gift of freedom bought by the blood of patriots for a government provided security, as long as we behave as they require. That is not the basis of this constitutional republic. I think most freepers get it. I think most Americans do not get it.

I know..I didn't mean to be flippant. I agree with you totally. I have twin Grandsons just starting school and I fear for their future. Our freedoms and rights are hanging on the edge of a very dark precipice. I keep praying for a miracle to pull us back but I don't know. Especially, with the news today about the Afgan vote. This is the excuse O needed to leave our troops in the middle of a nightmare. I am having faint memories of Khe San. I'm sure the vets from there can fill in the blans. I want our troops home now.
