Impeach Obama?
Hot Air ^ | October 17, 2009 | Ed Morrissey

When the grassroots come together for events like Western CPAC, it usually brings together a great deal of energy as well as a wide idea of ideas, some better than others.  One of the worst — and worst defended — ideas at WCPAC comes from Floyd Brown, whose ImpeachObamaCampaign.com is one of the sponsors for this event.  In his speech this morning, Brown misstates history, draws ridiculous parallels to the Nazi era, and takes the wrong lessons from the Clinton impeachment, which at least had the virtue of coming from an actual impeachable offense.

How about obstruction of justice? If the Obama White House interfered with the prosecution of the New Black Panther party for voter intimidation, would that be an impeachable offense?

This is such a stupid idea. Impeachment means nothing unless you have 67 senators willing to convict. Did we not learn anything from that stupid impeachment of Bill Clinton?

Yeah, I was all ready to chime in, ‘yes, please,’ but we do need some reasons. Of course, I doubt high crimes and misdemeanors are outside of this guy's realm. Good old Dead Fish Emanuel has that back alley way about him. A possible example, do we know for sure those two had nothing to do w/ trying to help Blago sell Obama’s Senate seat? And of course, there's the constant lying, but half the country is oblivious to this.

No Democrat will impeach any other Democrat as they are all anti-American.

He’s really not, but this is just a waste of time. There’s no one in the House to draft articles, and there are no votes to impeach.

let's say he actually did something that was plainly treasonous. I guess he couldn't be "hanged," could he?

Forget impeaching the Kenyan, it ain’t gonna happen. The best way to neutralize Obama is to get the GOP back in control of both houses of Congress. Nov. 2010 is only a year away. And I don’t just mean RINO Republicans, I mean conservatives with a backbone who will bring Obama’s agenda to a halt.

Floyd stated:
Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution reads: “The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

I signed it.
And if everybody who beleives in this great country did also, the numbers on that petition would reflect just that!
It’s my way of expressing “my little mini tea party”.
I’ve had enough...

Is putting the interests of foreign countries above your own an impeachable offense?

If so, impeach The Kenyan before he signs the Treaty of Copenhagen in December.

Indeed, the whole impeachment should be done against this illegit government upon which it has alleged its illegit pledge to a man who stole through the elections.

Unless I’m mistaken, the House of Representatives are the only ones that can conduct Impeachment proceedings of a sitting President. I think we all know that this would never happen. Best we go on to the 2010 elections and focus there. Then to the 2012 elections. The key now should be to locate someone worthy enough to hold the office of President. We have seen what happens when one is not worthy. We need new Conservative blood in the Oval office. Forget the also rans of yesterday.

Floyd Brown sounds like a complete crackpot.

It all makes perfect sense if you enjoy tilting at windmills.

Otherwise, it's nutz.

I doubt high crimes and misdemeanors are outside of this guy's realm.

The word misdemeanor is derived from mis (bad) demeanor (behavior). IOW bad behavior is an impeachable offense. Bambi has committed literally hundreds as has his entire administration and the Congress.

The best way is to get control of the GOP away from the RINOS and elect honest to God Conservatives to the house and senate.Flush out all the weak kneed moderates and replace them with hard line conservatives.
As long as the GOP backs Rinos, nothing will get done.
