We are pleased to announce that FreeRepublic and Jim Robinson have established an Alliance Link to the Restore the Constitution effort, The Independent Movement for Constitutional Restoration (IAM-CR).
The premise for IAM-CR is simple:
We intend to amass a voting block of millions of Americans who are sworn to focus on Constitutional Principle first and foremost in their voting and who will vote for and elect the thousands of candidatires we find and enlist who are sworn to support fundamental Constitutional Principle.
We invite all members of FreeRepublic to review our twelve constitutional principles and then JOIN US and invite your family, friends, and neighbors to do likewise as we build this voting block all over the nation and attract candidates to us, or develop them from our own ranks at all levels of government.
Please review the list of candidates we have already attracted, who have sworn or affirmed that they will support those same principles and do all in their power to support and inact them in law if elected.
IAM-CR is not a political party or a PAC. It seeks no donations, fees, dues, or other funds. It only seeks the commitment to constitutional principle of its members and candidates from whatever persuasion.
All of the public demonstrations are good, and critical in showing the opposition the strength, determination, and numbers of those Americans who are awakening to the destruction of our Republic by abject socialists and marxists in our own government. IAM-CR does, and will will link to and promote those FreeRepublic, 912Project, TeaParty and other events directed to this end.
But until we actually elect candidates at all levels of government committed to the constitution and who swear to abide its fundamental principles...nothing will change.
That restoration of our Constitutional Republic, based on fundamental constitutional principle is what this effort is about...that is what FreeRepublic is all about...the largest and most effective site for conservative activism and news on the intenet. Jim Robinson's foresight and dedicated efforts over many years must be recognized for making that so, and we sincerely thank him and all those involved with FreeRepublic for that work, and for forming this alliance with our efforts in support of those same goals.
In this regard, our alliance could not be more natural.
In fact, IAM-CR was created by several long-time and well known freepers and a couple of other well-known patriots. Jeff Head (freeper Jeff Head), Neil E Wright (freeper Neil E. Wright), David C, Wright (freeper dcwusmc), Ward Dorrity (freeper noumenon), Matthew Bracken (freeper Travis McGee), Pastor Stephen Broden (seen often on Fox News, Glenn Beck, and Hannity, and who is himself one of our candidates for the US Congress), and David Hedrick (the disabled US marine who stood up to his congressman at the town hall in Washington state and who is also one of our candidates for US Congress) are all on the Advisory Board of this effort.
Please JOIN US and help us use the political process and our voting rights to rise up and take our country back and restore our constitutional republic.
Ping to Jim’s comments in post 78.
Absolutely!
The effort is also focused on supporting constitutional candidates of whatever stripe. That must be our focus and we must pull the GOP (or any other) back to that defining boundary and limit. Most of those candidates signing up thus far are from the GOP, and they, if they are true to the oath they take regarding constitutional principle, will have our support.
It took a long time for us to get in the predicament we are in as a nation and as a people who allowed it...it is likely to take quite a while to get out of it. But I know this, the only way we will get out of it is by returning to constitutional principle, one way or another.
Am heading over to the “Can you hear us now” event in Boise, ID now. Will be back later this afternoon to respond and read the thread. God bless all!
Ping to me
Have a great “Can you hear us now” event and thanks for all you do.
We have no choice but to stand and fight.
Honorable service to the STATE? Nice prerequisite, COMRADE.
A worthy cause, Jeff. Great post.
Indeed, there's a reason bulk ammunition is hard to come by these days.
Mark and BTTP...
Thank you both very much. I look forward to reading everything, and sharing it with my family. My son, who served in the US Army 2nd Div. is interested in running for local office. I’ll make sure he sees it right away.
Thanks for the ping, Red_Devil 232!
I signed up!

Already a member of both! Good going, Jeff and Jim! Be fruitful and multiply!
Jeff,
I agree completely with the principle of electing those who support our constitution. I could use some help on HOW to actually determine that! For example, we have some local judge/country commissioner elections coming up. I know that from these local elections and positions come future judges and elected officials at higher level of state governements. My problem is it is SO hard to find out what people really believe in, and to know whether their past track record shows that they really act on what they believe in. Anyone can make promises that they will support getting back to constitutional principles and limited government, but how do you evaluate these people? I’m not a lawyer and hardly even understand the wording and the future consequences of some things, so a lot of times I have to just rely on voting for those that various local conservative “watchdog” groups recommend, but even then sometimes they don’t have information on lower level people and the judicial positions. I’ve spent years reading Free Republic and other conservative books, etc, so I have a pretty good handle on the big picture of things, and the extreme danger our country is in, but if I have a hard time knowing who to vote for sometimes, how can the average person who may be conservative but doesn’t spend as much time as I do find out?
I went to my local Republican club meeting for the first time and was asking this question, and they said, well, you can just about guarantee that any Republican is going to be better than any Democrat on the ballot. I know that is probably true here (I live in a conservative area) but not necessarily true other places.
So I guess I’m just trying to figure out HOW we take this from a great idea and setting a high standard, to actually working it out in reality.
I also wanted to promote this sweet Youtube video, Norman Rockwell paintings of the American we have always been, set to “O America”. someone posted this on FR last night. It brought tears to my eyes. I pray that with God’s help we can fight off the evil that has infested our country and have a revival & reformation so we can pass on the beautiful gift of liberty to our children

And your friends started immediately correcting your twelve principles. Correctly. I look forward with dread and sorrow to killing and dying for the Constitution, but I see no point in trying to explicate or clarify or otherwise improve on it. Again, sorry.
