Kincaid: Fox News Fires Marc Lamont Hill

Cliff Kincaid over at Accuracy in Media (AIM) announces Fox News has fired Marc Lamont Hill. Cliff represented AIM at NewsCorp's annual meeting. (”Accuracy in Media is a News Corp. shareholder.”) AIM reports that he asked Rupert Murdoch why someone with Hill's radical views would have a role as a Fox News commentator:

Before Kincaid completed the background for his question, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch interrupted Kincaid to say that he appreciated Cliff's work on this matter, and that Hill had been "fired" last week.

We look forward to confirmation of this report. If accurate, it is a major improvement to Fox News and cable news in general. People of every side of the political spectrum should appreciate a robust debate, but radicals of Marx Lamont Hill's ilk do not merit a seat on the highest rated program in news, The O'Reilly Factor.

Just for the record, this Hill guy defended socialism. He was used as an expert on matters way out of his academic credentials (Black Studies). And he was a light weight, other than in his fact-empty rhetoric.

I like BOR better when Laura Ingraham is on. And I thought Juan Williams did a better job (than BOR) last Friday as well.

Hill has a PHD in Black Studies, which is hardly a degree worth mentioning.

Makes me wonder what his thesis was based on?

No. Monica Crowley isn’t a lefty. I know Colmes married her sister....about 2 years ago, I think.

The woman I’m thinking of has been on both Hannity and BOR. She’s a pretty blonde woman, mid 30’s to early 40’s - one of the few attractive lefty women around. She’s a lawyer and is the whiny type. Her first name might be Christine....Carolyn....Caroline......not sure about that, though. She’s only on once every several weeks or so. I can’t stand to listen to her.

I agree with you on O’Reilly. He was seduced. He openly begged Obama for an interview and the price was never ending deference to The One. He constantly defends him. (I think Obama touching Bill’s leg also sealed the deal. LOL).

I know what you mean. O’Reilly has been really p*ssing me off in the last number of months. He’s not tough at all anymore and his jealousy of Beck is very obvious. I watched that video on Beck’s show. That woman Anita Dunn with the lizard tongue is classically demon possessed. It was not only terrible to listen to her verba garbage but that tongue thing was beyond weird. She is weird. CO

Greta is pretty far left, IIRC. I’ve never noticed it affect her reporting or even her commentary though.

Hi, pollywog. She emailed me back once. She's less into crime solving and more into politics lately.

I think Nancy Grace has the horrible crime beat all locked up. I couldn't do that night after night. So many of the crimes were committed in Florida.
