As the homemade balloon took to the air, Richard Heene blasts wife about tethering. While world worried, 'balloon boy' was safe in attic http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=7e7_1255709203
That was some of the worst acting I’ve seen in a long time. Reminds me of a scene from “Reno 911.”
“If you havent figured it out by now Hannity is not the brightest bulb in the box. He parrots talking points ad nauseum and rarely offers any serious thought to any discussion.”
It’s like you can read my mind :)
You are right about CPS.
However - it may be a good idea to limit this family’s access to mylar and helium.
And maybe a few other things ought to be added to that list.
Not sure of the validity of this but looks interesting..........
This guy says he’s an amateur scientist. If that’s so, then he should have been able to calculate that there was no way in heck that his balloon would be able to lift off under the weight of a six-year-old kid. Not to mention that there appears that the balloon was designed with no opening at all that would be big enough to fit a human being.
Hoax, publicity stunt, screw-loose narcissistic idiocy. I have a feeling that when all is said and done, this guy’s going to be sorry he pulled this one.
Oh, and attention nutcases with kids named Falcon and would-be terrorists named Nutsiballah or whatever: Stop giving my otherwise great state a bad name! Go Broncos! :-)
He’s cussing the kid out because he let go if the tether, like a kid that age is responsible enough to do that.
Obviously it was about a hoax since the child was found hiding in the garage. There is a difference in an accident and in physically abusing your children.
Clear cut case of fraud and an INTENT to deceive!!!!
The dude is liable for something.
Must be tragic to live your life as a George Clooney wannabee...
I don’t know if prayer is ever wasted, but all those prayers from all over for that poor child’s life and safety — I hope they could be rerouted into prayers for him having to live in a dishonest family who pimped him out for attention.
Holly Molly....
Reading this thread, one can see how instantly effective the media can be when it sets its mass mind to something for the sake of drama.

My thoughts.....He’s got some happy drugs going on there..The kind that makes his jaws and lips move, making him involuntarily speak gibberish...
This little thing barely equals the massive clouds of helium ballons held on tethers by sellers at Disneyland. Looking at that video, it's plain as day to anyone with a lick of sense that the thing couldn't lift a chihuahua, much less a boy -- especially if there's any kind of battery power on board. It would be all it could do to lift a dozen D-cell batteries!
No, the parents shouldn't be fined. This is a valuable indictment against the MSM and officials who decided to pursue rescue efforts -- the media and the "rescue" morons should eat it because they were stupid enough to jump off the diving board without looking to see if there was water in the pool. I don't blame the parents for this one -- if anything, I thank them for illustrating so poignantly the abandonment of common sense on the part of the MSM and official law enforcement/rescue heads. I'll bet there were a lot of firemen and policemen with common sense who looked at that and just shook their heads at the assinine gullibility of their superiors.
I hope these folks fade away quickly. I don’t need to hear about the Heenes every day like I have to hear about these Jon and Kate people.
I swear, as far as I'm concerned, the father who pulled this stunt is an American hero for revealing gullability that goes beyond nonsensical. People WANTED to believe that the kid was in that thing. They wanted to indulge in the "real life" drama so badly that they blocked any effort of their own common sense to calmly assess the situation and see the truth -- that the joke was on American media, media watchers, and rescue officials who were as manipulated by the MSM as marionettes by a puppetmaster. This was so obvious that any money wasted on rescue efforts is squarely the responsibility of the doofs who authorized it.
