Rescuers are tracking and chasing a "homemade flying saucer" that is in flight with a 6-year-old, by himself, on board.
The incident started this morning in Fort Collins when the boy got into the balloon-like device, which was built by an adult, and it came loose from a tether, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
The contraption could rise as high as 10,000 feet, the sheriff's office said.
The home-made flying saucer was last seen in flight over Weld County.
The sheriff's office is working the Federal Aviation Administration to determine how to best get the boy down.

i do enjoy interesting things in life... that's not the point of this discussion... the father came across as an ass... i'm sure you would think so too if you saw the episode... the kids were not enjoying it... they talked about how scared they were... the wife was not living a joyful life... she lived the life of a slave... the father and his desires are the center of the family... even if you would have liked to have your wife and kids follow you, i am sure you would not have treated your family the way this selfish pig does...
believe me... i hardly live the lifestyle of a traditional family... for the most part, i am all for people living their lives as they see fit...
Did you just revoke his man card? I don’t really know what that means but our teenagers say it (my husband is a youth pastor).
Several years ago in Oak Harbor, WA a boy went missing. He was found dead several days later in a tree where he had touched a power line.

It was reported early on that the basket was ‘not attached very well’ per a female police officer who talked to the parents. Still praying for a happy ending to all of this!

If this were a hoax, I guarantee the police would know that by now. The brothers and/or the parents would have fessed up by now. They wouldn’t let it go on this long.
