We spend our spare time playing board games with the family, reading books, and working on a large assortment of wood and metal projects in our well-equiped shop.
Of course, there are outings on the trails, camping, canoing, and general photo-capture trips.

I’m reading The Gulag Archipelago right now. The author describes how Russian POWs were shot upon being released and returned to the motherland. (They didn’t want word getting out about how much nicer Europe was compared to life under the Soviet regime.)
It’s everywhere already.
I was watching the “History” Channel this morning while I was getting ready for work. They were doing a retrospective on FDR. It was hilarious (or would have been if it were not so tragic)! First, they talked about his farm policies (which put thousands of black farmers out of business, sending them, jobless, to the cities), then, not 10 minutes later, were excusing FDR’s embrace of segregation in the South and the “powerful” (Dem) politicians who touted it simply as a means to get his agenda passed, (what if he had been a Republican doing the same thing?) THEN they had the audacity to talk about about the misery of blacks due to “slavery and oppression”, which FDR was continuing with his embrace of segregation and discrimination! I found myself yelling at the TV, “you stole their jobs and their self-respect, you arrogant fool!”
Slavery was an awful chapter in our history, but the overweening condescension of the left, and its failure to consider the consequences, is a stupidity that is more insidiously (and currently) dangerous, because it destroys the social fabric.
Maybe watching TV, even in the background, is not healthy for me.
That’s why I am so out of touch. I haven’t had tv since 1997.
Did you read the memo at the link? It says ABC CBS NBC FOX all four networks and affiliates will be participating.
It just kills me that wherever you go now, there are their 'RAT mugs staring back at you from those GIANT screens at sports events... B. H. Obama is also on numerous TV commercials, including one promoting George Lopez' new show on TBS or whatever. Sickening...
Time to get some Anti-Bama DVDs.

Damn him. I’ll be very interested what Beck has on his show tonight. He got a tape delivered to his studio this morning with something concerning the WH/media connection. He’s leading with it tonight.
Time to pull our some movies worth viewing another time.
