Palin for president?
Colorado Springs Independent ^ | 10-15-09 | Pam Zubeck

David Kelly's home office in Briargate is a typical middle-aged guy's hideout. It has a computer, two desks, books stacked floor to ceiling and maps on the walls. But at the foot of one desk sit a couple boxes filled with buttons and bumper stickers promoting Sarah Palin as a 2012 presidential candidate.

The full-time library district worker spends up to 20 hours a week collecting money and mailing political paraphernalia as part of his federal political action committee's effort to persuade Palin to run.

I think you’re right, particularly with the formation of a new organization on the horizon. She’s about to harness the power of the grassroots, and steamroll whoever gets in her way.

The she better damn well be prepared to explain or retract/change her position on a “path to citizenship” amnesty for illegal aliens. The kind of statement above does nothing but piss me off so flame me all you want. We went through this same divisive crap with no-”blanket”-amnesty Fred Thompson and ended up with McCain because of it.

It has passed her lips. It cannot be retracted.

“And from that you learned what?”

That unless we want another McCain, any “grassroots” effort to “steamroll” had better be done, not in favor of the current rock star/”electable” darling, but in favor of a truly conservative candidate who will DEMAND attrition through enforcement and NO amnesty of ANY kind for ANY illegal aliens....it’s a matter of national security, NOT compassion.

I'd say the great majority of U.S. citizens had at one time an antecedent who required a "pathway to citizenship". Why a "pathway to citizenship" is such a bad thing in your little world is beyond comprehension.
You're part of a decided minority - an anti-Palin imbecile who relishes arising each day just to smear her. Much to your, (and those like you), chagrin she will be our President.

You DO realize that she was NOT at the top of the GOP ticket in 2008 and had to toe McCain's line on that issue, don't you? Since then she's made a couple of comments stating exactly what she thinks about illegals walking down the street.

Also, the fact that you made this your tagline tells me that you've got some kind of agenda here.

Get over it!

Is anyone else tired of this “she’s for amnesty” or “she believes in manmade global warming” BS? She’s not. The folks who keep making up this crap are either incredibly stupid or shills for Mittens or some other RINO of his ilk.

***Do you have links on that? I’m a little behind the curve on this issue. Also, what do you mean by your tagline? When Caesar crossed the Rubicon it was the beginning of civil war and an end to the Roman Republic.

You’re a Duncan Hunter supporter, so you’re clearly not simply attempting to smear Palin.

However you’re more or less, using Saul Alinsky tactics against someone who just might be instrumental in wresting America back from the Marxists current ruining our nation.

Please clearly state Palin’s position on “path to citizenship” as you understand it, so an intelligent discussion of your concerns might ensue.

Thanks in advance!

Also a hugh Duncan Hunter supporter. Wishing we would begin hearing more from the Congressman.

I haven’t heard her say such an hopefully real conservatives wouldn’t lie about such if she didn’t say it. .....:o)

Her established record I read doesn’t support shamnesty.

If they have a link to prove their point I’d like to see it.

Stay Safe.

in favor of a truly conservative candidate who will DEMAND attrition through enforcement and NO amnesty of ANY kind for ANY illegal aliens.

Well, you have to prove that such a person can be elected first. And the data doesn't support you.

The American people have shown no evidence at the ballot box that they will support "no amnesty of any kind". This has been true over and over again. Candidates who could even plausibly be tagged as "no amnesty of any kind" have gone down to defeat in election after election.

And the two legitimate Republican Presidential candidates most identified with "no amnesty of any kind" couldn't get double digits in any Republican primary anywhere in the country.

WAKE THE F*** UP!

The country is being taken over by anti-American communists who are able to be elected because YOU and your friends won't support otherwise outstanding Republicans who don't agree with your guaranteed-to-lose position on immigration.

By all means, work to change minds so that more people agree with you. You have a good case to work with.

But in the meantime - if you REALLY wouldn't support Governor Palin in an election against "Barack Obama" - I mean, just wow.

Who cares what Kimberly GG has to say about Palin?

We all know that Palin doesn't support amnesty. We also know that when your the vice-presidential selection, you pretty much follow the head of the ticket agenda. Did Bush I complain about Reagan's agenda after he was chosen, especially after he criticized it during the primaries?
