CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. headlined the five inductees into the first Hall of Fame class, a group that drew mixed reactions to the inclusion of Frances son instead of driver David Pearson.

Richard Petty, the seven-time Cup champion and NASCARs all-time wins leader, was the second inductee revealed by current NASCAR chairman Brian France, ..

Bill France, Jr.? He’s not universally well-liked or respected, to put it mildly. He ain’t his daddy, for sure.
nepotism
I’m guessing Smokey Yunick’s odds aren’t too good either....
I take it Obama was 6th?
If Mike Helton goes in next round.. ;-o
Hall of Fame, long over due.
I guess there's some video some place?
Nascar Hall of Fame inductees announced - Ping
Remeber, Donnie is right over your shoulder.
The first few rounds were gonna be brutal any way ya cut it anyway..
maybe if it was a drivers hall of fame instead.
I forgot it was today. ..too cool.
Tiny Lund was probably the only man in Nascar to look him in the eye.
And Obamba got the Nobel... immediately and severely cheapens the award, eh?
I nominate and will vote for Dick Trickle.
Name recognition should make him a shoo-in.
:)
hell of a way to start a hall of fame.
I grew up as a Petty fan, which of course meant cheering against Pearson. However, I am gobsmacked that Pearson was not included. Just wowwwww!
Cale & Pearson should have been included in this first round. Hopefully God will allow them to be in good enough health & they will receive this honor next year.
Anyone who thought NASCAR was ever some democracy and not the “France” domain needs to give me a call about at bridge I can turn em onto at a real bargain.
This 3rd France is obviously some spoiled brat who don’t give a flip what the fans think. You think maybe Price Waterhouse will do some “vote” audit on the FRANCE nascar Hall of Fame?
