We spend billions to help these people, you need to stop the government from stealing it.

Sounds to me like the UN is admitting to being a massive failure.

A record 1 billion people worldwide are hungry and a new report says the number will increase if governments do not spend more on agriculture.

Trust in governments, question everyone else.....Nah, it just doesn't have a ring to it.

I grew up “hungry” as an American. One small to medium meal a day until I was old enough to work: 14, then I had one big meal everyday. But the funny thing is I still eat only one meal a day. Maybe two if my wife forces me.

According to the U.N. I’d probably be considered “hungry” today.

"A record 1 billion people worldwide are hungry and a new report says the number will increase if governments do not spend more on agriculture."

Well, if the business-government gangs would allow us to build on our own properties and grow food, there wouldn't be a problem with hunger. But they keep passing laws against the property rights of working class people.

UN: Record 1 billion go hungry

But as a percentage of the world's population and in comparison to what the lot has been of much of the world's population throughout human history, the world is better off than it ever was (and if the environmentalist genocide movement had not gotten DDT banned it would have been even better). Of course, after Algore's minions are finished with it, the world is going to be one sorry place.

If the thus in charge of the countries would let the food in instead of selling the food to buy guns and stick the money in swiss accounts the pople would have food to eat. It is the thug leaderships of these countries.

A record 1 billion people worldwide are hungry and a new report says the number will increase if governments do not spend more on agriculture abandon their idiotic socialist economies and allow free-market capitalism to flourish.

That makes more sense.

Now if the eco-nazi’s would let the water flow in central kalifornica, we could feed them.

Sorry, but the libs have spoken and you don’t get any. Besides, you cost to much for healthcare anyway.

Reminds me of "will Bush commit to ending hunger".

Hunger is a key motivating force behind human advancement.

I do some of my best work when I'm hungry. Hunger is a real force for change.

How about we end thirst too? And maybe sexual desire?

Then we'll be at one with the freaking cosmos perhaps?

Damn UN eastern religionists.
