WASHINGTON - Nobody knew for sure what Senator Olympia J. Snowe would do yesterday when the Finance Committee gathered to vote on its health care bill - not even Snowe.
Chairman Max Baucus, Democrat of Montana, had been courting her vote for months, investing long hours in closed-door negotiations with her and the other members of the “Gang of Six.’’ In the late summer and early fall, President Obama spoke with her on the phone and invited her to the White House to address her concerns.

She is taking up one of the few Republican seats.

BS. She made up her mind on this one weeks or months ago. She and Lindsey, among a bunch of others, love the DC cocktail curcuit much more than dealing with the commoners.

She will vote, and possibly be a sponsor for Cap and Trade.
She will vote, and possibly be a sponsor for Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
She will vote, and take cover under the Burqa of "Fiscal Responsibility" for a VAT when the plan comes up woefully short of funds in the second or third year of its actual implementation.
Each time, she will "wrestle" with her magnificent conscience. But each time, she will hear "history calling."
Now she needs to pull an “Arlene Sphincter”

What bull...She was waiting till the last minute to see who would make the highest offer for her butthole/vote...Well the auction closed. We know who bought her...and we know the new option for her next Deathcare vote will have a much higher price to the purchaser.
