PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL---Our news partners at the Sun Sentinel report:
U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, who represents Broward and Palm Beach counties, plans to resign from Congress.
He plans to announce his plans at a news conference Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Boca Raton.
A Democratic source with knowledge of Wexler's plans said he is likely to take a public policy job that deals with the Middle East.
Wexler, a senior member of the House Foreign Relations Committee, has long been involved in issues involving Israel and Turkey.
Yes! Thanks so much for the history lesson reminder. I knew this guy Wexler was a real piece of work during the Clinton impeachment hearings. He was the PERFECT guy for the machinations of the 2000 election because they probably had the goods on him in spades.
Here’s my theory: Some hooker stole his wallet while he was “relaxing.”
The news story says both he and his wife had their SS #’s stolen, but they just threw the wife angle in there to make it look less incriminating for him.
It is good news indeed. This creep has been lying for years and voting for every socialist’s dream and America’s decline.
Maybe he’ll take the “ethics” route and go to work for Charlie Rangel.

I don’t see what Floridians see in these New Jersey transplants. Wexler never even lived in his district.
Wexler is Jewish, Boca is Jewish....he could KILL a person and they would STILL elect him.

Update: The Miami Herald is now reporting that Wexler told Democratic leaders he will leave Congress to direct the Washington-based Center for Middle East Peace and Economic Cooperation, was established in 1989 by Slim Fast Foods Chairman S. Daniel Abraham and Utah Congressman Wayne Owens.

Democratic foreign policy hands said earlier today that Wexler, an important early Obama supporter in Jewish Democratic circles, was seeking to transition out of the Hill to private sector work where he could make more money and pay for children’s school tuitions, etc.
S. Danny Abraham is a long time associate and supporter of Wexler from his Palm Beach district, major Democratic party donor close to the Clintons, and dovish pro-Israel philanthropist. The Middle East center Wexler will head is revived from an earlier incarnation. Among its past associates, Clinton-era DAS Toni Verstandig and Dan Rothem.
In a speech earlier this month on Middle East policy at the Center for American Progress, Wexler strongly defended Obama’s Middle East peace push.

Isn't that shocking? Kids have no compassion or empathy today. Just horrible. And the horse slaughter...friggin barbarians. At least the kids in Dunbar got life sentences. Another news item that made my week!
