“What evidence is there that the girl is in any danger?”

The girl says she is terrified of something happening to her should she return home. Picture an underaged girl being threatened by her Stepfather or someone else in the family who said they were going to rape her. Would it be a good idea to put her back in the house and endanger her?

This situation is no different IMO, only worse, it could threaten her life.

Prayer up for her!!!

I understand. But kids can decide to be (liberated? adults? whatever that legal term is) at 16, can’t they? They do it when they have awful families, etc. Then she could get a Restraining Order. She is way old enough to do that.

“Judge Orders Runaway Christian Teen Who Feared Muslim Parents to Return to Ohio”

WHEN this girl turns up dead, the judge should face charges.

I would not return — what can they do? Put her in jail?? Juvie? The family could adopt her. Boy, there are any number of options. Land of the Free and all that. They can do total mayhem in the few months she is back. Only takes about 1/2 hour to kill someone, I suspect.

If and when the girl is harmed, there must be swift and sure retribution against this judge. To start with, he should be immediately removed from office. And there should be a State level review of that agency that asserted that there was “no credible threat” against her, something on its face impossible to determine, because the credible threat was in Ohio.

Deja vu :(

http://www.realcourage.org/2009/09/canada-mississauga-honor-killing-father-brother-to-stand-trial-in-girls-killing/

(Canada) Mississauga: “Father, brother to stand trial in girl’s killing”

– Toronto Star Reports:

– “A Mississauga father and son have been ordered to stand trial next year in a slaying that has attracted international attention.”
– “Justice George Gage today decided there was enough evidence for Muhammad Parvez, now 59, and his son Waqas, now 28, to be tried for the planned and pre-meditated slaying of Aqsa Parvez. They were both committed to trial on a charge of first-degree murder in the strangulation death of Aqsa Parvez.”
– “The 16-year-old student at Applewood Heights Secondary School died on Dec. 10, 2007. Aqsa, known to her friends as “Axa” was the youngest of eight children in the family, which immigrated from Pakistan.”
– “The killing, which some have described as a carefully planned honour killing while others say was a horrible case of uncontrollable domestic violence continues to be the subject of world-wide Internet discussion involving a clash of Western and Middle Eastern cultures.”
– “Evidence presented at the lengthy preliminary hearing and the reasons behind Justice Gage’s decision remain under a court-ordered publication ban.”

But kids can decide to be (liberated? adults?

I don't know myself, but several in this thread have said they don't have emancipation in Ohio. And also, she'd first go to Ohio child protective services. It all seems insane since she's already 17, and these people cannot possibly predict what a Muslim family might do considering the beliefs of their faith.

I think in this case, the state of Florida would arrange transportation and provide an escort until she was turned over to the state of Ohio. States have procedures on how to transfer prisoners, or others from one jurisdiction to another. I've known a couple of people who worked in interstate prisoner transfer. Exciting work!

Foster care is not exactly a maximum security affair. In the custody of cps, the girl has an excellent chance of escaping successfully.
If however she is sent home to her parents, it might not be long before they report that she hanged herself or took an overdose; or they could just wait for the first cps visit and then discover she’s missing. “Oops, she ran away from us again!” (Meanwhile she’s in someone’s trunk on her way to the landfill.)
Nobody would exert themselves much to look for her, since she’s already 17, although the parents would do a basic OJ search.
