The weather gurus were right. It's cold and snowy in Denver. And Game 3 of the Philadelphia Phillies-Colorado Rockies playoff on Saturday night has been postponed because of it.

A cold front moved into Denver overnight, dropping temperatures into the teens with record lows for the date. Coors Field was covered with a thin layer of snow and ice Saturday morning and flurries were expected to continue through the night.

Not exactly ball-playing weather.

Now they call it “climate change” so they can have it both ways. And the sheep just go along with it.

The temperature in Denver last night was 8 degrees below their old record low for the day. 17 degrees.

Was Gore having a “climate change” event this week? Seems like those events always generate blizzards, early snows, and other weather (don’ dare call it climate) anomalies.

Too bad. Wish Algore was scheduled to throw out the first pitch.

They cancelled this early? They never cancel this early due to rain. Unless of course, it’s a hurricane. What if it clears up before game time?

Every time I see something like this I have to go back to that wacky cover on Sports Illustrated a few years back where someone, (Dontrelle Willis?) was standing in water up to his waist at the ballpark because “global warming” melted the polar ice caps. The buffoons at SI fell for “global warming”, hook, line and sinker. Now they look like the fools that they are. Let’s see a cover of a player standing waist deep in snow during the playoffs in October and blame it on “global warming”!

Gore’s mad. He had a box-seat ticket.

That's why to me baseball is such a wimpy game ... no bother if it was football ...

"Yep, it's snow!"

It’s going to below freezing by gametime. It doesn’t matter if it’s snowing, they aren’t going to play when it’s 25 degrees.

There are no uniform parkas.

They need let more teams in the playoffs.

Extending the playoffs would mean more TV revenue.

Sleigh bells ring.. are you listening.

As the pitcher’s mound is glistening.

We’re playing today.. as we shovel away

Walking in a winter wonderland.

Snow? Did you mean snow caused postponement of baseball, baseball?

What crap. No wonder kids are not interested any more. Restore the 154 schedule, with Sunday and holiday doubleheaders, world series in September. Stayed up past midnight for the ALDS, tomorrow I’ll see Giants football. This is football season. Get on this Obama.

Hey, no sweat (pun unintended) ... just have Pelosi, Algore, and John Edwards fly over in their private jets and that'll heat the place up just fine.

However, then everyone will complain that their Coors are warm .... oh well, it was a thought anyways

It's freezing here in Denver and still snowing. It's not going to clear up today. Hope we get some Indian Summer after this....

Colorado Springs about 60 miles south of Denver had sleet & snow mix over night ... 40 vehicle pileup on I-25 in Colo. Springs had the interstate closed earlier today. Sold my tickets to the Bronco/Patriots game tomorrow in Denver. Weather is supposed to improve but HD TV in the comfort of my home, with adult beverages readily available ... is the best option.
