Jim DeMint -What I Heard in Honduras
WSJ ^ | October 10, 2009 | Jim DeMint

Posted on 10/09/2009 6:57:13 PM PDT by opentalk

After visiting Tegucigalpa last week and meeting with a cross section of leaders from Honduras's government, business community, and civil society, I can report there is no chaos there. There is, however, chaos to spare in the Obama administration's policy toward our poor and loyal allies in Honduras. In a day packed with meetings, we met only one person in Honduras who opposed Mr. Zelaya's ouster, who wishes his return, and who mystifyingly rejects the legitimacy of the November elections: U.S. Ambassador Hugo Llorens.

"Hondurans are therefore left scratching their heads. They know why Hugo Chávez, Daniel Ortega and the Castro brothers oppose free elections and the removal of would-be dictators, but they can't understand why the Obama administration does."

Sen. Demint comments on Honduras. Obama wants, or wanted Zeyala reinstated.

This thing has really chapped my A$$. It is just a shining example of this administration’s penchant for Dogma over the rule of law.

If the zero has his way the US won’t be far behind.

Signature Obama. Bravo Senator Demint for this exposure. Keep this in the forefront, though Honduras is small in a strategic sense, this story has all the ingredients that should be an awakening to the intent of this administration for the good old USA.

Thanks for posting this and thank you, Republican Senator DeMint! God bless you for going and getting the facts and for exposing the Obammunists and Clintonistas who want fellow Communists installed in EVERY possible country.....joining the USA which is under the control of communists (in the White House, the State Dept, and the Congress),

Never use the word “liberals” or “Democrats” to describe the vermin now in power.

That excerpt jump out at me as well.

obama's admin is a covert operation and unconstitutional as hell.

What's stressing me to my grave is why aren't people suing on grounds of constitutionality??

Take your pick! Maybe the laws have to go into affect first or have consequences first. I don't know.

But why aren' people lined up at the Supreme Court?!

I’m optimistic the rule of law will prevail. Or we’re totally screwed. My family has been planning for this, we are ready for survival. I’m sure many of you are too.

What Senator DeMint heard in Honduras was...one side of the story.

Quoting his article,

While in Honduras, I spoke to dozens of Hondurans, from nonpartisan members of civil society to former Zelaya political allies, from Supreme Court judges to presidential candidates and even personal friends of Mr. Zelaya...In a day packed with meetings, we met only one person in Honduras who opposed Mr. Zelaya's ouster, who wishes his return, and who mystifyingly rejects the legitimacy of the November elections: U.S. Ambassador Hugo Llorens.

Why, sir, would you meet with dozens of Zelaya's detractors but only one who sided with him? Do you consider that balanced? I sure don't.

I'm willing to argue my position point-by-point with anyone on this board, but so far no one here has been willing to discuss the issues. They'd rather get into name-calling, "facts" that aren't true, or overblown rhetoric.

Hear, hear! I've started referring to the vermin as Socialists, or Marxists in writing, and in conversation.

We MUST correctly identify these "people" for what they really are, lest we aid and abet them in their subterfuge.
