President Barack Obama said he will accept the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, though he said he feels he does not deserve to share the honor with many of the award's previous recipients.

In a Rose Garden speech, the president said he was surprised and humbled by the Nobel Prize committee's decision to award him the prestigious prize, adding that it should be shared with many of the other human rights advocates across the world.

"I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Committee," Obama said Friday. "To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of many of the transformative leaders who have received this prize."

He acknowledges that he is a human rights advocate and a transformative leader....what a humble man.

And who thought he would decline this award??

“”To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of many of the transformative leaders who have received this prize.””

But you will take it anyway?

There are men in uniform that refused military awards because they dont feel like they did anything special to earn them.

And they actually did do something to earn it!

“Didn’t have the class to turn it down.”

If he did have any class he WOULD turn it down.

Is there a way to find out who nominated Dear Leader?

Didn’t expect him to turn it down. That would take class. Something Obama sorely lacks.

“To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of many of the transformative leaders who have received this prize.”

And I can honestly say I agree with him. See, we can reach across the the gulfs that divide us. It’s simple. Make sense, and we’ll all get along just fine.

That’s why he used the term “transformative leaders” - by “humbly” saying he can’t stand with them, and still accepting the award he is declaring himself to be one.

In hindsight, I don’t think Obummer and the libs realize how much of a stone weight this will be around Dear Leader’s neck. The committee itself said this is not an award for what he’s accomplished but for what they ‘hope’ he will accomplish. They’ve set him up for failure and don’t realize it. Now he has to deliver on all these massive expectations, and if he doesn’t he’ll forever be a failure.
