Politics aside, that seems to be a VERY poor reason to give out any prize. Based on “promise”? That’s like giving the Vince Lombardi trophy to the Giants at the beginning of the season, based on the fact that “they show promise of winning it all.” It’s simply ludicrous.

All the Noble “Peace Prize” does now is reward sniveling weasels who make grandiose speeches disparaging America in foreign lands. Consider the past recipients.
They ought to just drop the pretense and rename it the “Nobel Enemy of America Prize”.

Its a joke! What has Obama done to earn it apart from running his ignorant mouth?

The affirmative action president strikes again... next time lets promote him to the status of priest because he is black and such a nice guy. He is an example to everyone and deserves to be the leader of every organization, company, and group of people. In fact, he should be our fascist dicatator-

Desperation P.R. move.
It'll last a month or so: even less if every *conservative* commentator mentions "Nobel Peace Prize, just like Yasser Arafat, whose group was behind the massacre of Israeli Athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games, and just like Al Gore, who championed Global Warming. In other news, Chicago is seeing its earliest snowfall EVER."
And then the Nobel committee will have shot its wad, and squandered its credibility. I think Dilbert uses the term "crudability."
Cheers!
