Obama's Nobel Peace Prize triumph hailed by many

And mocked by many more.

Today would be a good day to send a ton of emails and swamp the phone lines with requests for JOBS...and policies that inspire JOB CREATION. ;-)

Some have pointed out that they may have skirted the rules to nominate him after the nomination deadline.

I’m not sure about it but I’m hearing that the nomination deadline is January 20th. If true, he was nominated before taking office or after the deadline.

No, according to the rules; he has to be nominated by Feb. 1st, 2009. He was sworn into office around noon on Jan 20th. So, he won the Nobel Peace Prize for his accomplishments made within the first 10.5 days in office

I think even the most staunch Democratic supporter has to feel slightly humiliated by this turn of events; BHO is probably looking in the mirror and having a "Sally Fields moment" (You really do love me....)

If “much of the world” is praising this empty award, then “much of the world” is as brain dead as the average American voter.

Have we completely settled it?

The Nobel Peace Prize is a designation of great infamy now. Dictators and terrorists are the only recipients.

If Hitler was alive today, he would have beat Obama for this non-prize.

Was just wondering if it’s too late to get him into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame this year?

I imagine that every parasite, freeloader, traitor, and sexual degenerate is elated.

But on second thought, given thosehave won the prize in the past,Why should anyone be surprised?

Zero was picked because he was the perfect empty vessel into which to pour the hopes of the anti-American Liberalazi.

By the same self-loathing wealthy Eurotrash who selected Arafat and Jimmuh Carter, and picked AlGore because he was not George Bush.

They don’t really elevate those who are selected. All they do is to devalue any meaning of the words “peace prize”.

And Irena Sendler who saved about 500 Jewish children from the Nazis was denied. Two years ago they gave it to algore for his slide show on the global warming hoax over Ms. Sendler. Remember when they gave it to carter and he accepted it even after it became clear that they were giving it to him only to spite George W. Bush. They have embarrassed themselves beyond repair.

What a surreal world we live in....he has accomplished nothing; it appears that his leftist, socialist ideals MATCH the leftist philosophy held by the Nobel Prize Committee.

No one is going to accuse that committee or uhbama of caring even one iota about those who suffer under tyranny, torture and horrific abuse from their leaders. Nope. Peace is the answer. And if ya happen to have been born into a country that suffers from an abusive dictator, tough luck, because world peace is all that matters.

It seems to me that a whole BUNCH of Miss America contestents have been left out of the Nobel Peace Prize competition...I mean...since it no longer MATTERS if the contestant has actually accomplished ANYTHING, that one only has to pronounce the desire for WORLD PEACE and the END of NUCLEAR WEAPONS in order to win, it just isn't fair.

If Al Gore can have one, why not Obama? Geez, those prizes sure are trivial these days. It reminds me of the trophies they give to the child soccer teams ... everybody gets one, win or lose.

They chose him because he has done more than anyone else to destroy the economy of the US and promoted peace on the Mooselimbs.

I wonder how many times Mr. Nobel has turned over in his grave? Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, Kofi Annan, Yasser Arafat....etc.

This peace prize has been rendered idiotically political and meaningless.

Who is like unto The One? Who can make war with him?

Will this Twilight Zone episode ever end?
