Funny you mention the peace prize. I wonder what Russia thinks about hits on the moon? Water my ass.

I must live in a cave. Someone please explain to me, why are we bombing the moon? The US had discovered relics of an old alien landing site. We had to destroy the evidence before other countries made it to the moon and discovered it.

The US had discovered relics of an old alien landing site. We had to destroy the evidence before other countries made it to the moon and discovered it. That's right. Get the DUmmies and the Truthers going.

I saw a few programs on History and Science Channels that showed enormous deposits of titanium and other elements. The idea stated on the programs is that our mission to Mars and other planets starts with lunar colonies. The scientists were sure that the cost and ease of space travel would be reduced once we figure out how to survive the moon.
I worry that a “tragedy” of space debris killing astronauts would end the program before it begins in earnest.

I heard that the USA is also doing some defense department tests with these “landings” which will figure in future technology.
