e-mail supporting "health care" reform

Extreme anti-choice groups including Operation Rescue just launched a new attack on personal rights. The groups are encouraging people to display their photos online with a sign stating that they are the "majority" who oppose federal funding for reproductive health care.

The problem is, it's a lie. The groups are touting data from a year-old poll of only 2,481 voters that had a two percent margin of error. Since when did so few people represent the "majority" of the 3 million American citizens today?

Almost more outrageous is the question this poll was based on. Respondents were asked,

"President-elect Obama has proposed a bill that would force many employers to provide health insurance to their employees. Do you believe that this bill should also require insurance plans pay for abortions when the abortions are performed as a method of birth control?"

If we let a small group of people speak for us, funding for reproductive health care will no longer be available to Medicaid patients, federal government employees, military personnel, women in prison and American Indians.

Anti-choice health care amendments would affect us all, but they would disproportionately hurt poor women. Tell Congress that you oppose any attempt to ban reproductive health services in the new health care system.

P.S. Real Americans don't get sick. Or do they? Get a fresh perspective on this this complex issue by watching the new tongue-in-cheek video at HAARM.org. HAARM is "fighting back" against the 200 million Americans who support President Obama's health care reform plan. Not with "facts," or "statistics," or "the truth" - but with a video designed to scare people. Watch the video today.

HAARM is a work of parody by Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Another example of astroturfing by the left (and perhaps by SEIU - See last 2 paragraphs). Offensive in many ways, to say the least.

Extreme “Public (government) Option” groups are starting to turn up the heat. They know that if their ObamaCare goes down, their dream of a communist utopia goes down with it.

“Do they not even know how many Americans there are?”

Does Hussein know how many states there are?

Answer: It Doesn’t Matter!

Move along, leave the new King alone...he has work to do, and people to see, and places to go.

Good point, but it is amusing to see how these idiots operating. Amusing that is if most Americans actually could see through these idiots.
