DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Police said an Ohio elementary school student bit a teacher on the arm and had to be pried off by a school official. Dayton police said the child was brought to the assistant principal's office at Patterson-Kennedy Elementary School Monday by teacher Stephen Green. The boy began throwing things in the office and had to be restrained by Green. Assistant Principal Jack Johnson told police that Green was bitten on the forearm while clutching the child. Johnson said he had to pry the boy's mouth open so he'd let go.
Green, 54, went to a hospital to be treated for the bite.

Gila monster!
That’s why you need to keep a tire bat under your desk.
A human bite is almost as bad as a gila monster ...
I hope the teacher has rabies vaccinations as part of his medical insurance package.
Ah, kids. Puts a big smile on my face.
What is it about small kids that resort to biting? It seems this is more common than not.
Especially biting and not letting go. There’s got to be some mental issues going on there.
I bet this little POS kid was one of the “Mainstreamers”.
Won’t let go until it thunders.......no wait.....that’s snapping turtles.

Children are such treasures.
I’ve got one that does it to her sis,
but only when she’s “had enough”, ie,
it’s usually deserved.
Yes, we do discourage it.
A friend of ours, who was an assistant principal at the local high school was speaking to a new student who was entering the school because of foster care placement, was attacked by the kid and had a handful of hair pulled out of her head before two teachers managed to pull the kid off of her. Needless to say, the boy was not accepted into the public school.
Because they "can" and know all too well there is nothing an adult can do about it without getting in big trouble.
When I was a kid.....if I'd even looked like I was going to bite or backtalk an adult......I'd have been knocked into next week. Soooo.....I never even had those ideas cross my mind....just out of sheer self-preservation! :)
Never had a knot jerked on his head.
Never had the fear of God put in them with a belt.
Thats why.
I thought it was illegal to keep wild animals in the city limits. Seriously tho, this surprises me not a lick. We now have a couple of generations raised like wolves. In fact, I take that back, at least wolf mothers teach their puppies how to behave in a pack.
Thats why I can’t watch the “Nanny 911” shows.
I yell at the TV... “somebody take that youngin out behind the shed!”
Now, now, I’m sure the kid just has “special needs”, and he has a right to be “mainstreamed” for his “education”. The teachers, school staff, and if necessary all the other students, should be required to make “reasonable accommodations” for his “disability” — they can all start wearing full metal armor every day and then everything will be fine.
