The Senate Finance Committee released on Friday evening the text of the health-care bill that committee members will vote on next week, the result of nearly two weeks of committee debate and amendments.

We too have a pre-existing condition, and it’s a commie in the White House. Only known cure is impeachment.

Goodbye private insurance. The government run "option" will become the only choice.

They’ve not read it, they’re not GOING to read it, they can’t understand what it says but by golly, they’re going to vote on it!
Spot on diagnosis!!!
Is it a real bill or a vague framework?
How will all these taxes and fees on healthcare lower the costs??
Are people really this stupid?
Thanks.
I’m going to add that to my blog, as is
"The committee's vote is the last step before debate on health-care reform, President Obama's signature domestic initiative, moves to the full House and Senate. Should the bill pass out of committee, it will join a bill already passed by another Senate panel, the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, and senators will need to bridge differences in the two pieces of legislation.
The Finance Committee completed work on its bill early Friday morning, and Chairman Max Baucus delayed a vote until congressional budget analysts had a chance to calculate the bill's total cost and impact on future budgets."
Then again, Blogspot won’t let me cut and paste. *sigh*
OK
Can someone tell me how this is going to lower the cost of healthcare??
Not exactly correct - yet. They are going to have it reported so that we idiots can "see" what the government is letting us have tax free. It also allows Congress to see what they are not taxing. I would also guess that this is also a way to determine who does not have health insurance provided, so they know who to fine.
At some point in the future (not too distant future IMHO), they will already have the mechanism in place to begin taxing the benefits.
Call this pre-tax reporting.
I bet more citizens read it than Congressmen.

It truly sickens my heart to realize America’s “CIC” is so willing to sacrifice US Troops lives to “preserve” HC votes in congress
God help us!
The Rats had 2 choices after August. Listen to the American people and forget govt run HC, or ignore the American people and treat them like children. It looks like they have choosen the latter.
Personally, I consider this bill an open assault on the American public and grounds for insurrection.
This will be an even bigger money grab than the income tax. Hope America likes it.
