Under ØcarterCare, all Americans will be Wards of the State, and the State will mandate medications to moderate your thoughts
So you said to pretend a tax cut is passed despite filibusters and such. You allege that it would take too long to do any good but I disagree.
You let a tax cut get passed along with cuts in spending...a dream I know...but you let this happen. I’ll bet my next paycheck that the stock market will rise like a rocket the day of passage.
A lot of the economy is psychological, it’s why the worry about consumer confidence and such. Such a reform package would rise confidence of those folk who do all the investing in this country that it’ll perk up things enough to carry us through the almost two years until a more concrete realization of the bill are realized.
LOL!
Very good!
Scary indeed. As you point out we are way beyond broke. The politicians may be trying to create hyper inflation so they can pay the debt down 10 cents on the dollar. I know that gives them credit for the ability to formulate and execute a plan. As dubious as that may be, it is the only explanation I can think of for their continued boneheaded policies and outrageous spending.
What I am wonder is, they are too ideologically driven to have 0 pull a Clinton and pretend to move right like Clinton did in 1995 so what is their desperation play next year when it is all falling apart on them?
You two have put a rather scary thought into my head. I will pray the Sec Service is on it's best game everyday between now and the day 0 leaves office.
The consequences of even a failed assassination attempt, much less a successful one, given the fundamentally fascist mindset of the current leadership of the Democrat Party would be catastrophic for the USA.
The debt just keeps growing, fueled mainly by the entitlement programs, which will consume more and more of the budget crowding out everything else including national defense.
More unintended consequences Democrats failed to plan for, or even realize could happen. Democrats don’t learn from history, they keep repeating the same mistakes hoping for a different outcome.
So are we looking at means tested SS,no one collecting until they are 70,taxes on everything under the sun, what holds for the future?
Those speeches were so bad I felt like I was watching a Saturday Night Live parody.
In contrast, Pele was so proud of Brazil he said "I love my country. I would die for my country." Lula talked about the HONOR of hosting the games and how South America wanted to be in the Olympic family and how wonderful the games would be in Rio.
I would also like to add that despite how much Michelle and Oprah think they are queens, their rude and arrogant behavior and overly glittery dressing contrasted very poorly with the understated dress, courtesy and graciousness of people such as Queen Margarethe of Denmark and Prince Albert of Monaco.
If the government wants to save some money, they could furlough the State Department protocol people, since the Obamas obviously never listen to them anyway.
I don’t know. Obama is driving the bus, so throwing him off or under it will affect them since they are riding in it. Who is going to take over the wheel?
No, businesses hire by looking forward. One-time gimmicks are less effective than secure long-term rates. And they’re more fair. Pitching bad policy because you don’t think you can get good policy passed isn’t leadership. Better to make the argument and win minds for good policy, even if it takes a little longer to get it through.
Van den Gargoyle!
I don’t know about other states but this is happening in CO. I heard this past week the only states that are in good shape are those with Republican governors and legislatures, who have all kept spending down and are not feeling the impact.

And who is going to pay the premiums for private insurance. There are 60 million people on Medicaid. 37% of all births in this country are funded thru Medicaid.
I don't care who get's credit for it, I am just sick to my stomack thinking 25% of my fellow citizens living in that sort of fear and despeation.
So give me some real world serious solutions not "well we cut taxes and spending then everything becomes perfect at some point years from now".
World doesn't work that way. Wishful thinking is not sound policy.
Is the SRM even reporting on the American deaths in Afghanistan today...or is it all about date night and Michelle’s backless dress. I know Fox covered it but then idiot Alisyn gushed over Barry the romantic, too.
So I’m doing this book review for a book called “Google Bomb”. It’s non-fiction, about the damage an online attack can cause and how these things are done.
It gives a suggestion that the reader should sign up for a Google service that will notify you when a Blog post or comment on a site mentions any phrase of your choice. Author suggests using your own name that reader be forewarned and can monitor all online discussion about him or her.
So I figure, good idea. I sign up...use my name...which is Pat Fish.
Next day I get a notice that Google found references to my name. I am excited, figuring of course they are referring to my wonder FreeRepublic posts, perhaps my own fine Blog.
It was from a camping Blog. After a day on the lake, in order to prepare the halibut, one should “carefully PAT FISH to get it dry.”
I am humbled.
