No, businesses hire by looking forward. One-time gimmicks are less effective than secure long-term rates. And they’re more fair. Pitching bad policy because you don’t think you can get good policy passed isn’t leadership. Better to make the argument and win minds for good policy, even if it takes a little longer to get it through.

WHAT do you do NOW to address the problem we face RIGHT NOW of Un/Underemployment?

Doing nothing but clinging to a doctrinaire ideological pure world view might make for good talk radio, it does not work in the real world. People aren't going to stand around waiting for your plan to work. You need some short term plan to go with your long term one.

What you snidely refer to as a "gimmick' the idea of allowing tax payers TO KEEP THEIR OWN MONEY NOW by changing the deductions available NOW, works NOW.
