For all you steadfast NRA supporters who pooh-poohed us when we told you that veterans were going to get shafted by this act... read this and start making excuses.
You must be one of those smart guys from Metairie.
Ooo, Yaaawh!
He was the Godfather of Darby Hinton (Israel Boone - Daniel Boone tv show)
Wholeheartedly agree.
I never knew that.
When I was a child we met Daniel Boone(Fess Parker). He was coming off his plane and we were coming of ours. We taxi’d next to each other’s tie downs and my Dad noticed him.
Never saw him again but, I stay at his hotel in Santa Barbara, The Fess Parker.
Love it. Great rooms, great restaraunt and right across from the ocean.
Rather stay there than the Four Seasons.
He had considered running for congress some years back but decided not to due to health reasons.
He has a winery in CA somewhere.
Hinton recently did a special on Daniel Boone in NC

We grew up seeing him as either Davy Crocket or Daniel Boone.
Whoooaaa! Bad Poster! I ain’t there yet! Got 4 years to go and if getting tendonitis on my birthday, Constitution Day, is an indication of what it is going to be like, I am not happy.
LOL
Post on
In Santa Barbera up the road from his hotel.
The other reason I like the place is they are beyond dog friendly. They put some real nice cookies on your bed at turn down.
For your baby doggies, they will put fresh water bowl in the room twice a day, give them treats and even walk them complimentary.
They even give out some “smell good” cologne for dogs with gas. LoL.
You gotta go!
Hey, there is even a beautiful mission up the road. I love walking around there.
It sounds like a great place to stay. I dont think they have any chains here on the east coast.
My puppy would love it.
beautiful!
The NRA fought tooth and nail for the passage of the NICS improvement act and called everyone who predicted just this outcome a liar and alarmist.
The NICS system needs to be abolished. The NRA was against it when it was being proposed and passed, but then came to love it after it was in place. Now they are fighting to strengthen it.
GOA hasn't compromised nor sold out veterans. People should consider not contributing to the NRA and giving their money to the GOA or other no-compromises organization on the state level.
Yeah, I saw how the GOA stabbed Fred Thompson in the back during the primaries. They’ll never see another dime from me.
I have seen anti-NRA fanatics on other sites. People who ask legitmate question about the law get response like "shall not be infringed" therefor anything is legal. These people generally are in strong favor of armed rebellion and are sometimes very scary. I have seen them debating about how physically fit they need to be to "hump" their gear.
I have a bottle of Fess Parker's "Frontier Red" in my wine rack right now; it's the third that I've bought. We've a local grocery with a really nice wine selection - I saw that and had to try it. Goes great with a nice charcoal-grilled steak - just be sure to let it breathe while you're attending to the grill... this is a hot wine, over 15% alcohol by volume. I'm no wine snob, so I don't mind the screw-cap bottle (kinda makes for a good camping wine, actually).
Hey, would Fess steer you wrong?
admirable stance, but the legislature is going to do something when these bills come up. you can take part and control the damage or stand aside on principle.
There are no gun laws that pass constitutional muster. Wanting the gov’t to abolish unconstitutional laws does not make a person a fanatic or scary.
The goa is worse than useless since they never do anything. I have asked so many members what they have done and even you can’t tell me a single thing they have ever accomplished.
Don’t blame their size. The SAF does more in a month than the goa has ever done.
I get the impression that the anti-NRA, “shall not be infringed” types that want armed rebellion want it for sole purpose of using their firearms. They want to use their firearms to prove that they have the right to use them. This is what makes them scary.
you sound like you know a bit about the nra. I have heard that C.A.I.R, the terrorist supporting islamic front group, here in America uses grover norquist (a well known DC figure), a LOT in it’s organizing, agenda setting and fund raising and anti American talks. he is married to a muslim and has founded the ‘islamic institute. I have also heard he is a past and present nra board member. that can’t be true. no way the nra would EVER allow a man such as grover norquist to sit on their board. have you heard of this? fact or fiction?
