I never knew that.

When I was a child we met Daniel Boone(Fess Parker). He was coming off his plane and we were coming of ours. We taxi’d next to each other’s tie downs and my Dad noticed him.

Never saw him again but, I stay at his hotel in Santa Barbara, The Fess Parker.

Love it. Great rooms, great restaraunt and right across from the ocean.

Rather stay there than the Four Seasons.

Fess Parker is still hanging in there.

He had considered running for congress some years back but decided not to due to health reasons.

He has a winery in CA somewhere.

I don't know too many folks that are in the mid fifty's that dont view Fess Parker as a tv icon.

We grew up seeing him as either Davy Crocket or Daniel Boone.
