A Gloucester attorney is going up against FOXs Glenn Beck and is defending the creator of a controversial Web site the right-wing yakker is trying to shut down.
The site, didglennbeckrapeandmurderayounggirlin1990.com, is based on a joke originally aimed at comedian Bob Saget. During a TV roast of the former Full House star, funnyman Gilbert Gottfried tried to squash rumors that Bob Saget raped and killed a girl in 1990.
The Web site was created last month by a Florida man, Isaac Eiland-Hall, after an online post - Why havent we had an official response to the rumor that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990? - took off in cyberspace.
We assume Glenn Beck did not rape and murder a young girl in 1990, although we havent yet seen proof that he didnt, says the Web site. But we think Glenn Beck definitely uses tactics like this to spread lies and misinformation.
Beck - a TV commentator, radio host and author - has filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization, a Swiss-based United Nations agency, saying that the site is being used in bad faith, is libelous and could cause confusion for consumers. Becks attorney declined comment, but a source familiar with the case said its a trademark issue for Beck.
Gloucester lawyer Marc Randazza, who specializes in First Amendment rights, said Eiland-Hall retained him after getting threatening letters from Becks attorneys.
Randazza, who has filed a response with the international agency, said the site is a parody of Beck himself and shouldnt be shut down because its protected political speech.
Said Randazza: Even an imbecile would look at this Web site and know that its a parody.
Slander is not protected speech.
I’ll have to go to didIsaacEiland-Hallrapeandmurdralittlegirl.com and find out.
any guy with a hyphenated last name is automatically suspect IMO
Slander is NOT free speech.
The DUers are starting to post this all over the internet.
They are all the types that rapeandmurderyounggirlsin1990. You can tell.
Beck probably stampeded the guy into a preemptive strike.
There was a thread here when this first came out and an astute geek noticed the mega tags on his site matched exactly with the mega tags from the acorn.org site with the references to acorn edited out.
Beck is correct in setting his lawyers out after this dolt because not only his attempt to slander him but also because he was stupid enough to leave the tracks to his source.
So now why is a Boston attorney defending a low life twit from Florida? That question desrves scruitiny.
When the article referred to Bob Saget as a commedian, I knew right then it was all BS.

BTTT
Chances are that a lot of imbeciles will go to that site and who knows what they’ll believe?
I have to say, it’s an effective strategy against people put words in other people’s mouths ... like, say, Maureen Dowd and well, just about every other liberal (and a few conservatives) I’ve had the displeasure to deal with.
When did you stop beating your wife? ... and effective strategy for cyberbullies as well.
Right wing yakker? What DO they teach in Journalism school these days??
BARKING MOONBAT BUMP.
LOL...They usually take their “Parthers” name to add to theirs. So called partner rarely takes theirs.
This is what you get when you let the OJ jury pick your president.
True Haters bookmark.
Like shooting fish in a barrel.
Cheers!
