Does this mean nazi peelousi can’t visit Assad?
No, because the chairman of the committee of jurisdiction at the time did not block her visit.
If DeMint has any stones he will just book a flight as a private citizen, sorta like JJ visiting the tunisian nutjob, jimmy visiting any dictator in the news.
Can he not go as a private citizen?
Kerry's Attempt to Block DeMint's Honduras Trip Reveals Policy Feud

Don’t we pay these turd buckets enough?? They could go there on their ‘’own’’ dime, actually our dime, Carter seems to have no trouble gadabouting around the world in his sweater.
I do not share your opinion of Jim DeMint, with whom I can only assume you are unfamiliar.
There WAS NO COUP! Micheletti IS NOT THE “INTERIM” President!..............
Comrade Chairman Kerry, Have you found your military records yet? You are years overdue on the release. Why will you not apologies for calling two and a half million US soldiers baby killers and war criminals? It seems to me that your crew killed a 13 year old girl while you were sleeping on duty and you call us baby killers. Have you no shame?
So much spin and misrepresentation in this little clip, so little time!
Chavez and the ousted Socialist were staging a coup. This interim government was NOT a coup. Impeaching Bill Clinton wasn't a coup either. It is legal and constitutional.
It has been exhaustively and irrefutably established that there was no coup in Honduras, but I wouldn’t expect the experts at Slate to know that.
This article is out of date. Because of the conflicting news reports, I called Senator DeMint’s office and asked if he was able to go to Honduras. The staffer told me that he “was down there now.”

"Shortly after taking office in 1985, Kerry and Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa went on a fact-finding trip to Nicaragua, where they met with Daniel Ortega (right) and other Sandinistas. The trip was criticized when the Sandinistas cemented ties with Moscow."
