Another month has passed and we are already into October. I have chosen photos from October 2001 to October 2004. The quote of the day is from the Lessons of Liberty Initiative speech which President Bush gave on October 30, 2001 at the Thomas Wooten High school in Rockville, Maryland
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
..
Glad you enjoyed it. After you posted about the comments at the poll/article, I felt compelled to read through them all, rating them as I went. LOL!
Having someone that was actually at the seminar smack them down was awesome.
Republicans/conservatives basically through President Bush to the (leftist) wolves from 2005-2008 our President deserved better, MUCH BETTER!
Yes, he did deserve better!
Throwing President Bush under the bus by a candidate caused me to change my vote at the Republican State convention last year. When his people were calling delegates asking how we would vote, I let them know why I changed my vote to his opponent and sent a follow up e-mail to him directly. (He never responded, of course.)
Wow. I would have loved to have been there. It gives me chills to read it---can't imagine what it was like to be there in person.
Dana Perino was on "Brian and the Judge" this morning. I love listening to her--she is so articulate, smart, and she loves President Bush. :) I think there will be a podcast of her time on the show at the above link (it might be there in a day or two). Their podcast is apparently for subscribers, but they put up the first segment each day (which she was) for free.
One question they asked her was about reports today that BHO has had many big contributors at the WH for visits. Some donor was given access to the WH bowling alley for a family event. Dana said that she never got to see the WH bowling alley.
One reason I love listening to her comments is that she is great about pointing out difference in the two administrations. :)
...unlike the current resident of the white house!
Doing what is right is a problem if you do not have a set of core principles by which you live.
One thing I have to say about BHO and John Kerry (during his candidacy) is that they made teaching this fact to our children very easy. It is so clear that they live by the poll, by what feels good, rather than by core values.
It makes me smile.
Dana Perino ROCKS!!! She and Ari were the Dynamic Duo of Press Secretaries!!!
For me it would be the Terrific Trio of Ari, Tony, and Dana.
I really miss Tony. It would be such a comfort to have him around right now. I know he would see right through BHO.
FINALLY, I tracked down a videoclip from the GET MOTIVATED seminar — while far too brief, it does capture the ROUSING reception that President Bush received from the SRO crowd of over 11,000 (18,000 when you include the overflow area) . . . ohiowfan and DollyCali: It reminded me of the good ole days in 2004 when President Bush conducted rallies like this practically every other weekend in Ohio!!

Thanks for that! I also saw it on Facebook on a conservative post there. I just didn’t know how to transfer it. LOL!
It was fun though...just to see him in action. If I were there...I wouldn't have a voice I would have been screaming so loudly.
Thanks for the smile I now have on my face.
I love seeing the wonderful reception those great people gave our GWB. Fabulous!!! I miss him so. Thanks, DrDeb!
The video link she gave us was too short...it was just getting started, and then it stopped....waaay to soon.
What? I have been absent too long! when did you come back to FR? Glad to “see” you! Hope all is well with you.
i bet he’d look good in pinstripes ;o) oops! just kidding! I miss GWB! I wish he were still Prez instead of that stinker we got now.
Sorry about the double post but I forgot to add the pic in the last post. He really is looking good here.
He sure is. Sort of looks like a professor—a very kind professor. I miss him, too, Pippin!
Our VERY busy ‘retired’ president is currently visiting India — representing the US with dignity and class (unlike our current Secretary of State and her incompetent/America-hating boss)!

Anyway, it was very snipey and childish, so I guess this visit has put the Obama people in a snit.
Good.
Thanks for sharing, Miss Marple. :)
