All we're getting is whispers from the press, of course, A raised eyebrow here, a sad shake of the head there. But the picture that is emerging of Barack Obama, the executive, is not very flattering if you look between the lines.

Thanks. Just back from a meeting. These photos are absolutely frightening. I too have been saying this guy is a Manchurian Candidate.
From the looks of that photo in post 126. I think Obama is also looking for his real place of birth.

You noticed that too? He does seem to be homed in on Africa of the mid East doesn’t he?
I fear you are right. I saw a couple of pictures from today and I swear he looked either stoned, like he had a late night last night, or a hangover. Odd MO is out of town.
I cant wait until the book comes out...written by one of his Secret Service detail.
_____________
IF they are not shipped off to Siberia or somewhere and never heard from again. Maybe that’s why they are ordered to stay out of site when MO walks around the WH.
It doesn’t have to be cluttered, I would expect it to at least once, in 9 months look as if actually worked there, FOR US. But of course it isn’t because he doesn’t. He’s too busy on his 4 year luxury vacation.
a lot of these empty desk photos look like photos taken when he first came to the white house.
_____________
Feel free to find some, or even one, where he is actually working. I tried and couldn’t find a one. Of course, I’m sure next week there will be plenty of them. wink
Oh, and no, they are not when he first arrived. From now on I will save the tag lines and the dates instead of renaming the photos. You can find most of those pictures by searching oval office.
I know, it’s scary. I would like to know who is doing all of the work and the work is mind boggling according to all past presidents.
LMAO, now THAT is funny!!
As the first black president he’s a terrible example. It will be a long while before there will be another black president because so many people will expect the same type of governance as BO has done.
As first black president BO needed to perform at least as well as any of his predecessors. He hasn’t even done that.
Just wondering if there were/are any pics of Jimmy Carter’s desk?
How odd, not even a photo of his mom, grandma, wife or kids on the desk....
He probably only uses the office for photo ops.
Another useless room to him, much like a formal dining room or living room in a house.....IF he works he doesn’t do it here....
Wasn’t the oval office where the bust of Churchill was (that he gave back)? Why would he do that if he never uses this room?
Looking at your picture again, I noticed there are no photos on the table. I think this may have been his first night there, maybe checking out which chair he wanted to use.
Wasnt the oval office where the bust of Churchill was (that he gave back)? Why would he do that if he never uses this room?

Because he didn’t want it in his photo ops probably. He doesn’t like the Brits. That’s obvious. I imagine he’s pretty pissed at Sarkozy now as well, after the things he said about obummer’s egotistical, fantasy world.
Your top picture.
It reminded me of an episode of Cheers.
The Bar Owner, a former professional baseball player was hired by a CEO of a major corporation. The only reason he was hired was to play on the corporate team. The bar owner really liked the corner office and such. But, he was only there for his baseball prowess.
Obama is only there for his teleprompter speaking prowess. He is a figure head.
You are absolutely right. When I landed my job a few years ago, I had been jobless for almost a year. I could not believe my good fortune after such a long struggle, and for several months my office was really pretty empty. I think in the back of my mind, I kept feeling like it was all too good to be true and someone was going to snatch it all away from me. Finally, someone pointed out to me that it might not be such a good thing to look like I was there "temporarily," and perhaps I should go ahead and "move in" and hang some things on the walls.
Those pictures of BO's empty office remind me of a passage from Truman Capote's novella, Breakfast at Tiffany's. The main character, a young "socialite" who calls herself Holly Golightly, is a rootless character with a disturbed past, a re-invented persona, and a quirky set of morals. She is portrayed as living out of boxes in her apartment, because she can't see herself staying in one place too long.
She orders engraved calling cards for herself, cards which read, simply
So, is BO our "Holly Golightly"?
*snicker*
