... one starts to wonder if the country wouldn't be better off without them and if Republicans should be cut out of the health-care system entirely and simply provided with aspirin and hand sanitizer. Thirty-two percent of the population identifies with the GOP, and if we cut off health care to them, we could probably pay off the deficit in short order.

probably the guy that keeps telling all his fellow DUer pals how he's going to enjoy killing Republicans when the civil war starts.
Jews were not the only ones murdered at the concentration camps by the Nazi German state.
Anyone who opposed the Nazi state or its stated goals ended up there. Folks from countries occupied by Nazi forces ended up there too.
just posted this comment:
Absolutely fine with me. As long as, if we are cut out, we also don’t have to pay for it. You’ll find that when you cut out the producers in society, society fails. But, alas, common sense usually eludes you guys.

Keillor is a congenital idiot.
In my opinion, the act of making other citizens liable for my individual (or our collective) mistakes is not just to infringe upon their liberties, but also their rights.
lol
I thought he was already dead?
Keillor and the rest of the leftists who think that education should be provided by the Federal government are complete and utter morons.
Federal involvement in education has only resulted in dramatically reduced quality of education, the devaluation of the high school and college diplomas, and immense price increases.
It's a pity that the Republicans were too cowardly and short-sighted to actually keep their promises and reduce the Department of Education to rubble. Instead of cutting off subsidies for leftist academia's continued indoctrination and brainwashing of American youth, they enlarged the bureaucracy and cemented it further by passing No Child Left Behind.
I'd bet it's a lot more than 50%.
Rush on this now.
Trouble is Minnesota to some is flyover country. Keillor actually used to be somewhat funny, until he Lived for some time in New York City. Then he turned into a nasty snobby elitist. This I heard from a person who used to work on his stage crew, who happens to be a liberal.
Maybe Keillor should move across the river to Minneapolis. There does happen to be a cultural divide between Minneapolis and St. Paul. The former is extremely shrill, wound-too-tight, and moonbatty. St. Paul in comparison is quite sane. Note I did say by comparison, since there is a member of the City Council who defended the “anarchists” that build fire bombs to throw at police during the RNC Convention.
You're right.
Income and payroll taxes infringe upon the individual rights to life and liberty.
Income and payroll taxes, as forms of "involuntary servitude" imposed upon the individual, constitute a direct violation of the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution.
And let's not even get into property taxes.
That's awfully good advice, Keillor. Why don't you take it?
A better question is, by what authority does Congress obtain powers to provide health care to anyone?
Wow; just astounding—but then my neighbor predicted it would come down to who the patient voted for...shades of Soviet Union.
This is amazing. I JUST read Thomas Friedman’s piece in today’s NYT- where he wrings his hands and frets over the rabid hatred coming from the crazed right wing.
I would pay the price of admission to have Friedman read this from Keillor and then respond.
There will be an oversight board watching the pharmacies so that no doctor can prescribe anything to anyone without it going into a database.
If there isn't already.
