The Huffington Post has made it crystal clear where it stands on the news that director Roman Polanski may have to answer for his 31-year-old crime of child rape: “Move on, everyone. Nothing to see here. Keep on directing, Roman. Love ya!”
The popular liberal site has posted numerous essays since news that Polanski was arrested in Switzerland broke over the weekend, each arguing vehemently against the Oscar winner’s persecution.

But HuffPo readers aren’t buying it. And boy, are they angry.

Hell, if I heard right, even the nearly unanimous panel of
THE VIEW was divided on this.
Roman Polanski’s a dumbass. If he had just served his time back in the 70s and 80s, rather than fleeing the country, he’d be out by now.
I wonder how many of them are regular visitors to the Glenn Beck raped a child site.
Thirteen years old. And he met the mom, etc. He knew she was 13 and he buggered her. Imagine had it been Bush, or like someone wrote yesterday, “Father Polanski” Catholic priest.
Obviously, there is a schism here.
Racists feel that actions have consequences, if you rape a child - you should be punished. Whether you are famous, or not, has no bearing on either your crime, nor your punishment.
The ‘Enlightened Liberals’ feel that if you are a regular person, then you should go to jail or get a good ‘talking to’ for raping a child; but if you are famous then there is no crime. The child should consider herself lucky to have been blessed with the unwanted attentions of the famous person.
Polanski is a fugitive from justice. He plead guilty and skipped town during the sentencing phase. He needs to do his time.
Whoopi is an idiot that should return to her former job of working as a makeup artist at a mortuary and ... STFU!!!!
The Left wants no restrictions on sex. They can’t even figure out what rape is. There is a reason, Whoopi, why many states have laws saying that taking advantage of ANYONE when they are intoxicated constitutes rape. It is particularly glaring with the person is 13 years old.

A real leftist is debased at the center. How else can you really justify hiring (a politician) to steal from one person what they earned honestly to give it to someone that YOU have decided is deserving? They frame it as helping the poor, but no matter how you slice it, it is THEM deciding how to spend money someone else earned. Just because they spend it for “good” doesn’t change the basic reality. If I rob a bank and give the money to charity, keeping some of it for the purposes of administration, it is still not okay.
The idiots at HuffPo ought to try reading the transcript of the girl’s testimony.

According to what I heard on Fox News yesterday, it was Polanski and his lawyers that initiated this latest round when they sought to have the charges dropped. Los Angeles felt that the fact that he FLED JUSTICE and especially after having PLED GUILTY, it was a bit much to ignore and renewed their efforts. Stupid man and lawyers but then I repeat myself.
Vigilantism occurs when those we appoint to do certain jobs fail in doing those jobs and the populace gets fed up.
