Just heard on the police scanner that 4 anti-olympic protestors have been arrested for tearing down and burning a "Chicago 2016" olympic flag at a protest in Downtown Chicago this evening.
The charge was criminal damage to property.

Freedom of speech is a deliberate choice made by the individual.
Perhaps burning Old Glory falls into that category, but it most certainly reflects poorly on the individual so exercising that choice/right.
Poorly in that their action insults the memory of and personal sacrifice of those who have gone before them defending her.
Burning the Stars and Stripes is essentially pissing on Betsy Ross’s (and a WHOLE BUNCH Of OTHER FOLKS’)Grave.

Public humiliation of Old Glory, like shouting “fire!” in a crowded theater is incitement to violence. It has nothing to do with free speech.

I meant what I said. Is that too subtle for you?
