Maura Flynn points out that Canada's National Post covered a story that almost the entire US media establishment looks to have missed: in his remarks last week at the UN Security Council, French President Nicolas Sarkozy verged on the edge of mocking President Obama over his idealistic rhetoric on nuclear disarmament. Sarkozy did not mince words, saying:
The people of the entire world are listening to what we're saying, to our promises, our commitments and our speeches, but we live in a real world, not a virtual world. We say: reductions must be made. And President Obama has even said, I dream of a world without [nuclear weapons]. Yet before our very eyes, two countries are currently doing the exact opposite. Since 2005, Iran has violated five Security Council resolutions. Since 2005, Secretary-General, the international community has called on Iran to engage in dialogue. An offer of dialogue was made in 2005, an offer of dialogue was made in 2006, an offer of dialogue was made in 2007, an offer of dialogue was made in 2008, and another one was made in 2009. President Obama, I support the Americans' outstretched hand. But what did the international community gain from these offers of dialogue? Nothing. More enriched uranium, more centrifuges, and on top of that, a statement by Iranian leaders proposing to wipe a UN member State off the map.

I said back in the summer of 2008 that if Obama was elected, Sarkozy would be the leader of the free world.
In my mind, Bebe Netenyahu is leader of the Free World.
He joins Nobel Peace Prize Winners Lech Walesa and Vaclev Havel, who freed millions from the slavery of Soviet Socialism in saying, “WTF???”
And yet, after a discussion yesterday with a true-blue, kool-aid drinking Obama Worshipper, I can only think this is going to end badly for our country...
Don’t forget that Sarko asked, about Obama, Is he “faible.” Many people said he was asking if O was weak, but, “faible” also means weak-minded. And I think that’s what Sarko was asking!
Since the press seems to have missed the headline, let me write it for them: He-man Sarkosy b**ch-slaps girly-man Obama.

Iran is to meet with world leaders, including our President, on Oct 1 to discuss their nukes. What do you want to be that our President will come home and say....”We had an excellent meeting and Iran has agreed to additional meetings. It will drag on and on and on.
I’m thinking that we can ask Johnny Rockets to go back to serving French Fries again.
I think Netanyahu is the leader of the free world.
Obama is NOT. He could care less.
If he was asking, that’s what he was asking! (I’m sure he KNOWS Obama is weak per se, just checking to see if he’s weak-minded. I’m also sure he got his answer!)
Yeah! I just brought that up because a few days ago we had a thread about that quote. Everyone seemed to think it meant, “Was he weak?” But I have taken enough French to think there might be another translation. And,,, sure enough there was. And it made more sense. “Faible” =weak-minded, or, simply put, STUPID!
good heavens...his hat doesn’t match his suit!
Personally, I think a single strand of pearls would’ve looked much better.
Other than that, I don’t see anything wrong....
lol
Y’all are funny!
The photo arrived in email today, can’t wait to post it on the next ‘best dressed’ thread so everyone can see it.
