The suspicion that President Obama was born outside of the United States has been written off as a conspiracy theory, but that hasn't stopped the so-called "birther" movement from keeping their theories alive.
A fundamentalist Christian Web site LivePrayer.com has produced a 28-minute infomercial dedicated to questioning where the president was born. It has run at least once on a CBS affiliate in Lubbock, Texas.
LivePrayer.com was founded by Christian minister Bill Keller, who committed his life to God after spending time in prison for insider trading, according to his site. The infomercial is also the work of attorney Gary Kreep, executive director of the birther group United States Justice Foundation, Talking Points Memo reports. He reportedly said the infomercial will run for at least two and a half weeks on stations around the country.
Mr. Obama has "vigorously fought.. to keep his birth information secret," Keller says in the program. "What is he hiding?"
The half hour spot encourages viewers to call a phone number to add their names to a list petitioning GOP leaders to "force President Obama to obey the law." In thanks for their support, viewers will receive a "Got a birth certificate?" bumper sticker. It also informs viewers that for just $30, they can have a fax sent on their behalf to all 50 state attorneys general and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder demanding they force President Obama to supply his official State of Hawaii birth certificate.
"Join hundreds of thousands of Americans who simply want the truth," Keller says.
Keller may be right about the persistence of the rumor -- a recent poll showed that that 42 percent of Republicans believe Barack Obama was born outside of the United States while 22 percent said they were unsure.
And while the White House has, of course, dismissed the theory as "totally crazy," some Republicans have quietly perpetuated the myth. California Rep. John Campbell co-sponsored a bill (with at least nine others) requiring presidential candidates to submit a birth certificate and refused to give a straight answer when asked whether he believed the president was born in the United States.
I love it. We are going to eff them up, royally.
Leo Donofrio is going to break a few eggs in Hawaii, and the record of amendments—without even specifying what they were—will prove the internet exhibits his scummy minions tout as proof will be so busted, and the Guillotine Deserving Media, and the criminal enterprise democrap party. Already we know there were amendments so the post online exhibits cannot be genuine since they lack the ‘Amended’ designation and are supposedly dated June of 2007.

I read a post today on Leo Donofrio's blog which mentioned the "original" 13th Amendment. The original amendment was never repealed but quietly replaced with the current XIII one after the Civil War.
The original XIII forbade the acquisition of foreign titles or emoluments. The penalty was permanent loss of U.S. citizenship.
Didn't Teddy Kennedy accept knighthood of some sort? Clueless youth are referring to the Kennedys as "real royalty."
Whither the original 13th amendment? Can we make it into the 28th now, or wedge it back into its proper place (not displacing the current XIII one, of course)?

You’re obviously not a lawyer. A lawyer is going to make every argument available to them, and some come before others. That’s what they’ve done. No case has gotten to the arguments about the facts of birth.

First, you did a fine liberal job of trying to equate those of us who want to see some simple documentation with people who believe George W Bush organized a huge conspiracy including the deaths of over 3000 Americans and destruction of aircraft and buildings (despite witnesses).
Please consider there are no living witnesses who have come forward to claim they saw little Barry O. pop the chute (with the exception of his granny in Kenya who said it happened there). That should be easy enough to refute, just produce the documentation a kindergardener needs to get enrolled.
So simple a child can do it.
With such 'transparency', Obama could discredit his critics, once and for all.
Considering people started asking to see his qualifications well before the election, just to prove he is qualified under the Constitution to hold office, he has had plenty of time to prove that he is indeed a natural born citizen.
So why hasn't that happened? Why hasn't Barry produced the evidence to dismiss the claims he might not be qualified?
Why spend so much trouble to avoid showing a document that costs less than a twenty?

And if he was, as you seem to think, born in the US, he has already been elected. Nothing we could possibly find could UNelect him IF he was born here, so why CONTINUE to hide his entire past when it doesn’t matter anymore?
He has already done more than enough to NOT be re-electable. So what is the sense in spending a gazillion dollars to hide something that doesn’t need to be hidden?
He has already committed impeachable offenses. The dems will never impeach him. He has thrown all other caution to the wind. Why THIS?

I guess you missed it. The part where the mesmerized, starry-eyed electorate was still swooning over their fresh, clean, demigod who promised "hope and change" and the facade started cracking because they realized they did not know who they had elected.
Where did that cruise missile of doubt come from? From those who questioned, repeatedly, his eligibility, from those who comtinued to question it, from those who could point out after months of questioning his eligibility that he was avoiding producing something so basic that every child enrolled in kindergarden has to produce it.
Then altered images of a document were shown on the internet and the wave of doubt grew as they were shown to not only be bogus, but connected to the obama supporters, not an official document.
By then, people were paying attention to the new pres__ent's (no id) policies as well, and as every day goes by that the documentation is not produced, additional abuses of power, levels of corruption, misfeasances, and larcenies are uncovered.
The "birther" issue not only doesn't detract from the others, it is part of the reason people are examining this administration, despite continued obfustication and obstruction to that as well, regardless of whether the issue be the place and parentage of Barry Soetoro's birth, or the content of the health care takeover, or 'cap and trade', or the looting of union pension funds, banks, and soon the health care industry and the insurance companies, all for our own good by the beneficient Barry Soetoro/Obama, or whatever the hell his name is, and his minions.
There was no debate that Bush was an American Citizen, a natural born citizen. The memos the left produced were every bit as genuine as the document image posted by the Barry O lovefest sites.

***Well written, thanks for posting it. The answer is they serve Obama. Rather than letting us alone to continue to cause this much damage, they prefer to try to get in front of the parade and direct it elsewhere, onto their favorite pet issue. I was fighting against such trolls months ago, and took flak from JimRob for it; but now it appears the times are changin’. Keep up the good work.
I've seen that argument used both ways, as in:
"There were no changes to the original, because the short form would indicate 'Amended.'" Or...
"The COLB Obama posted is a forgery because the original was changed, and the COLB isn't marked 'Amended.'"
But I've never seen any proof that HI indicates "Amended" on a short form, nor has any example of a short form marked "Amended" ever been posted on the net, to my knowledge.
Hawaii statute §338-16 (Procedure concerning late and altered birth certificates) stipulates that "certificates which have been altered after being filed with the department of health, shall contain the date of the late filing and the date of the alteration and be marked distinctly “late” or “altered”.
But that wording refers only to the certificate itself -- not the COLB, or short form. There isn't anything in the online statutes indicating that the short form would indicate "late," "altered" or "amended."

If you are looking for an itemized contract with specific terms spelled out for your personal edification, then it would probably suit your needs best to choose the break from your routine which was suggested earlier.
