President will announce Friday morning a significant expansion of the consortium of countries that tackles global economic and climate change issues.

In a surprising late-night twist on the eve of the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, FOX News has learned President Obama will announce Friday morning a significant expansion of the consortium of countries that tackles global economic and climate change issues.

Obama will tell reporters that the G-20, comprised of 19 industrial and emerging-market countries plus the European Union, will supplant the smaller Group of Eight nations, G-8, as the go-to group for solving the world's economic ills.

"This decision brings to the table the countries needed to build a stronger, more balanced global economy, reform the financial system, and lift the lives of the poorest," the White House said in a statement.

the Euro already exists to contradict your statement.

It's already coming apart at the seams. The Yurps will be the ones who tried it and found out The Hard Way why a single currency across economies with different growth rates does nothing but cause trouble.

If you really don't understand why this is so, and think that it's simply a "choice" politicians can make with no consequence, you need to get smarter about monetary economics. In Yurp it is today possible for the Yurpeen Central Bank to create the conditions where Germany experiences runaway inflation while Italy is suffering a deflation, all because they're both trying to work out of the same currency base. There's no way to keep the wheels on a thing like that.

Being that you and your trench coat dude are so much more educated than everybody else on this subject. Why don’t you kindly explain to us what will happen in American politics when the dollar bottoms and FDIC is uber technically bankrupt?

I see this scene as all of our smaller banks buying each other up to ease the strain on the FDIC until we have but maybe a handful of solvent banks.

Then back to geo politics...The world bank is perfectly ready to take on one global currency whether anyone likes it or not.

re: Palin 2012

People don’t get it...

There will be no other president.

There will be no straightforward elections.

This guy is that defective.

I’m not kidding.

The world bank is perfectly ready to take on one global currency whether anyone likes it or not.

Why would the Arabs, or the Russians, accept a currency in return for oil unless whoever issued the currency could somehow provide goods and services for that currency? People can crab about the US being in debt, but you can come over here and buy all sorts of things with dollars. Where do you go to redeem a currency issued by the World Bank? Or the UN? Or anyone who doesn't have an actual economy?

If the dollar falls on its butt as the de-facto world currency, there will be -talk- about some UN-issued thing taking its place, but in the end one of the real-world currencies like the Euro, the Yen, or the Renminbi — or some basket of them — will take on that role. That's because in the end, a currency is a debt obligation and unless the currency-issuer has some sort of economy that you can go into and buy things, their currency is worthless.

That's not to say that the Chinese and the Russians (and in fact everybody who hates us) won't call for such a thing. They will. But only as a ploy to de-throne the dollar in hopes of getting their own currency adopted. The Chinese are not about to let the UN, or the World Bank, or any such thing control their money supply.

People who think that the UN or the World Bank can just announce that henceforth everyone must use the Worldo as their medium of exchange are smoking rope.

what will happen in American politics when the dollar bottoms and FDIC is uber technically bankrupt?

Why do you think those two things are related, or would happen simultaneously? I think it's pretty clear to Fed-watchers that the dollar -is- going to tank, because the Fed is covering the Treasury debt that the Democrats in Congress are spending like there's no tomorrow. That will bring us $5/gallon gasoline and -expensive- junk from China. So the economy will suck, pretty badly, and for a long time. But within that are the seeds of our comeback: a crashed dollar means our exports will look cheap overseas, so people will buy more of them.

Remember, all this foreign trade debt we're running up represents stuff we got for free until whoever accepted the dollars comes over here and spends them. Only then do they get actual stuff in return for the stuff we got from them. So sooner or later they have to come here to buy things, and when they do our employment will rise and our economy will start humming. The only thing better than that is if they -never- redeem the dollars, in which case we got their stuff for free.

We already know what happens if the FDIC runs out of money. We had that happen with the FSLIC in the Savings and Loan debacle. We're still here; the Sun did not go out.

That's not some World Bank plot. That's the rest of the world realizing that our Congress is spending so much money, so fast, that the Fed is having to buy the Treasury debt out of money-from-trees. We are debasing our own currency to the point that people around the world no longer trust it as a store of value.

Nor should they.

If When the dollar gets knocked off its perch, we'll have done it to ourselves.

Why did you twist it all around?

Who said conspiracy or the world bank was ‘the’ problem?

The world bank is solvent that is all they care about. As far as the U.S. yes, they know money is being spent like fools, they are well aware the dollar is nearly rendered worthless. This is how the global scheme of George Soros and Obama’s globalisation plans will work.

Because... we don’t have a leg to stand on.
