On a conference call today, Vice President Biden told 30 of the nations governors that if the Recovery Act fails, hes dead.
Biden was providing an update to the governors (and if they couldnt make it, their Lt. Governor or senior staffer) on the Recovery Act and make sure they were prepared to submit reports next month detailing how stimulus money was spent and how many jobs were created by the funding.
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) told the Vice President he couldnt express how much he and his fellow governors appreciate Bidens interest.
Pure self-interest, Jay. If it fails, Im dead, Biden quipped.
The conference call invitation was sent to 55 states and territories and if a governor could not join, a Lt. Governor, Chief of Staff or other staff member called in. Louisiana was the only state to not have a participant on the conference call.
On Friday the Obama Administration will launch an updated Recovery.gov website to better coordinate the required data coming in from funding recipients and state and local agencies in October.
About 150,000 recipients of federal stimulus money will be required to file detailed reports on how they have spent the money and how many jobs were created as a result. At the end of October the data will all be available at Recovery.gov, including all changes and corrections made to the reports during the review period.
Today Biden said the reporting is a massive undertaking but implored the governors to make sure the data their states are submitting is accurate. He said the updated web site for reporting data is user-friendly, even for someone like himself who is not tech-savvy.
We need to start documenting the stimulus failures with respect to job creation, especially in states with Democrat Governors (like my state of Tennessee), so that we can controvert the fraudulent numbers that will inevitably be reported. For example, this link documents the effect (or lack thereof) of the stimulus upon Tennessee employment.
Who wrote the recovery act? the Tides foundation?
“submit reports detailing how stimulus money was spent and how many jobs were created by the funding.”
Oh, this is going to be RICH!
Go here and Freep the HELL out of your state as it wastes everyones money:
“The total of cost of all the projects submitted by Wisconsin is $1,234,364,263”
That’s a BILLION just in my lousy state, Folks! Our state deficit is running $4.6 BILLION. It don’t add up. No amount of ‘stimulous’ money spread around to any of our states is going to do a freakin’ thing!
a. Money is fungible. You can spread it out, but it just gets thinner and thinner until everyone has nothing, and
b. Our Governor is QUITTING! He’s made SUCH a mess of our state that he’s not running again. Well, he’s running, but AWAY, with his $2 million dollar war chest!

Louisiana ping!
What Biden was really saying was, “You boys get your lies together, cause we’ve got to show something for all those $8 million dollars per jobs we’ve created.”
Never has so much been spent for so little. It would have been better for the economy to just give each one of the flag holders a million bucks, and tell to spend it.
Think of all the time that has been wasted by making productive people sit at unnecessary road construction sights.
Joe Biden: The gaffe that keeps on giving!
Keynes: “In the long run, we’re all dead.”
The list, ping
You just can’t make this stuff up. Clown Biden strikes again.
And just WHAT is Biden’s significance, again? Anyone? Oh, yeah. He’s ‘the dumb, white, honky who ‘lives upstairs’ in the ‘Jefferson’s apartment building’.
Biden’s has the unfortunate instinct of honestly. That doesn’t help in his line of work.
IF it fails? It already has.
He’s brain dead right now. Can’t blame it on the stimulus.
Better start making out your last will, Joe, ‘cause there’s no if about it.
