I feel deprived. I kept asking people where the tear gas was when I was marching at the TEA rally in D.C.

It does seem a warzone in Pittsburgh. It looks like they really overdid it so far. Hardly any protestors, no real clashes yet. They are targetting an area that originally was not heavily patrolled by police. Maybe they’ll do the same in other areas later tonight/tomorrow.

Would it perhaps be cheaper if the G20 leased the Queen Mary II, or some other such vessel, for a week and have the summit on there? The expense, not just for security, but the loss of productivity in the surrounding business, has to be much more than the two or three million it would take to rent the QE2.
