NEW YORK (CBS) - Najibullah Zazi, the Denver man believed to be the central figure in a terror plot against the New York City transit system, has officially been indicted on charges of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction against persons or property in the United States, CBS 2 has learned.
According to the Department of Justice, a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of New York returned a one-count indictment alleging that between Aug. 1, 2008 and Sept. 21, 2009, Zazi knowingly and intentionally conspired with others to use one or more weapons of mass destruction, specifically explosive bombs and other similar explosive devices, against persons or property within the United States. The indictment also alleges that Zazi and others traveled in interstate and foreign commerce, used email and the Internet, and that this offense and the results of the offense would have affected interstate and foreign commerce.
Authorities plan to transfer him to the federal court in Brooklyn to face the new charge.

My guess is that it was packed with the same “Mother of Satan”, or TATP that was in the OU Bomber’s backpack... I wonder if they will uncover any ties between this fellow and our “old friends” in Norman, OK who have been tied to everything from the first Trade Center Bombing, to OKC, 9/11, and then OU???

I seem to recall an Israeli - Arab battle in which Israel had a 79-1 or 80-1 kill ratio (one of the Israeli jets ran out of fuel...?) in Reagan's 1st term.

No, he was not a sleeper I think you misunderstood what he was saying. I looked at his posting history back a ways.
The indictment says the group started their terror activities when Bush was president, not Obama, yet several posters claimed it was Obama’s Fault that we had al Q operatives now working in country. That was it’s story, and it riled people up to the point where it was accused of being an 0bot. He harshly ridiculed people for not “getting” his point, or for not realizing that it was not banned. In the thick of it FR was full of smoke and shouting.
It had “suspended or banned” as text on it’s “about page” when it was not banned at all, it was a twisted joke. It’s been banned now for real, though, for, I’d guess, serial unpoliteness and namecalling.
Good association, yes, OU bomber was about acetone, peroxide, and backpacks too!

I remember conversing with him over the years, I just meant that he either hid his true feelings well all these years, or he went “over the top” today for some reason. He definitely wasn’t a “sleeper troll” in the true sense of the word - as in one who signs up and doesn’t post from the account for YEARS and then tries to make it look like they’ve been here forever...
He really could have tried to make his point (which is valid in some respects), without being so snide, IMHO. Was it only on this thread, or was he hopping threads all over doing that today?
It would seem that the jab at the Admin Mod was most likely the last straw though - not that I blame the mods. He at LEAST needs some time to cool off, and reflect on WHY he has been banned/suspended for REAL now! Then again I think he was ACHING to be banned - anyone who takes on Admin Mod like that has GOT to know it’s like suicide by cop! LOL

I remember the OU bomber only too well.
Backpacks, yes, but I’m confused about TATP in that case and supposed acetone/peroxide in this one.

Have to admit I was shocked to see the article Milford posted that confirmed my guess down-thread. I wish I wasn’t correct!
I’ll be extremely interested to hear if this man has any ties to the group in Norman, really. However, unless there is some public record tying him to the group specifically, I do NOT expect us to hear about it even if he WAS in touch with them... The FBI has routinely ignored that group for some reason. Part of me still wonders if it isn’t because they’ve successfully infiltrated the group in some way.
I anticipate Zero calling the FBI “stupid” and having Zazi and the agents share a hookah on the White House lawn in a truly “teachable moment”

Well, the folks over at Wikipedia have ALREADY added a statement at the bottom of the TATP information page naming Zazi, and that he was going to use a peroxide-based explosive! LOL (MAN are they quick on this stuff!)
