I googled his name and found a long article about him. He stole a vehicle, is gay, and claims to be bipolar. I don’t see him fitting in well with the Marines.

In 1977, I met French Foreign Legion sergeant, and former British para, who explained a few of the gentler touches of discipline in the Legion. One was to be buried standing up to one’s neck and let the various critters have their way, up to a point. Also, sergeants were allowed to “touch” the recruits. Although physical contact is now limited, discipline is still pretty harsh according to friends in France. This Marine imposter would be a good candidate for the Legion.

Oh dear me. He certainly has a few “issues”. While boosting cars might be a skill the Marines could work with, and being gay might be something they'll have to work with, I'm assuming bipolar could be “iffy”. It's so tough to regulate. One moment he's invincible, the next he's in a guard tower shooting the men and women he's supposed to be working with. Nope, can't see that my solution would work. ;-)
