Obama: U.S. Does Not Recognize 'Legitimacy of Continued Israeli Settlements'

In declaring that it is time for Middle East peace "without preconditions," President Obama used his speech to the U.N. General Assembly Wednesday to fire a warning at Israel that "America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements."

Obama's stark declaration, which drew applause, was coupled with a call for Palestinians to end their "incitement of Israel."

But it was the use of the U.N. forum to carry the settlement message to Israel that drew the most enthusiastic response on the floor -- and incredulous reaction outside its walls.

Obama just put Israel "on the chopping block," said former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton.

Obama said he met Tuesday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was not in attendance at the speech, and agreed that the two have made some progress in both strengthening security and facilitating freedom of movement, which have allowed the economy in the West Bank to grow.

But more progress is needed, he said.

Pick a fight with the Mossad and the CIA at the same time. CIA has the cash and access, Mossad has the operational tallent. Also having the Mossad break the dirty laundry keeps the CIA's hands clean.

But its not going to happen. Obama is setting himself up like Chavez and Castro to be a president for life. He sees the deaths of a few million Israelis as a way to keep the people distracted while he puts his plans in place.

As for Israel, it is going to have to fight for survival, or vanish into history, in the next few months. Once Iran has the bomb and mates it to a missile, all Israel can do is avenge their destruction, the can no longer survive. The Iranians don't care if they die, so long as they can take the Jews with them. Amaddogjihad will happily send his country into a Nuclear war, in fact that is exactly what he wants.

I just hope Israel has enough ammo stacked up. In 1973 they survived only because the US flew one of the largest airlifts in history to keep them supplied with ammo. That isn't going to happen this time.

I know some here see Obama as Rev. Wright but I always see think that Obama is Louis Farrakhan. Obama is just a more presentable/marketable package than Farrakhan but the product inside the box is the same.

Rev. Wright is a loud mouth but Farrakhan always struck me as a far more dangerous person.
