Investigators probed a failed Queens truck rental for ties to a possible Al Qaeda bomb plot yesterday as a chief terror suspect tried making a deal to save his skin.
The truck rental bid failed when none of the men could produce a valid credit card. All refused to surrender the identification needed to pay cash, the manager of the Flushing U-Haul said.
A team of FBI agents spent 10 hours Thursday combing through the Queens truck rental business.
At least three Afghan men - including Ahmad Afzali, a Queens imam identified by a U-Haul employee as one of the would-be renters - were questioned in New York by FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, sources said.

Afzali was coincidentally quoted by the New York Times back in 2003 in an article that gives some insights into the Afghan community — many arriving since the Afghanistan war began — in and near the area.

My impression was that “Avenue of the Americas” was not representative of the street; but, rather, of the Continents. I felt as if our national sovereignty had been given away in a global sense, that we had been merged with at least Mexico and Canada but possibly South America as well, and that “the Americas” were no more. The fact that the dream was set in Flushing Meadows park, a place I was completely unaware of before researching the dream, may indicate that the U.N. is somehow involved.
One final note. I did not feel afraid at all. Just sad. I felt as if I was in a place of safety. Not touchable by the oligarchy. Yet, I was observing the end of our nation as we know it.
Some were born and brought up here, sadly enough.

Bush had a Republican majority for 5+ years after 9-11. Bush and the Rhinos who run the Repub party are globalists for whom free movement of goods and natural persons is more important than national security. Before those who want immigration law enforced and borders secured were called ‘domestic terrorists’ by Zero’s administration they were labeled ‘vigilantes’ by Bush.
