As many of you are aware, there has been a flurry of activity around the country involving many States who are taking positive steps in asserting their State sovereignty in the form of State Resolutions. Though we support any activity by the States to preserve their sovereignty over federal government, we recognize that State Resolutions have no force of law. Rather, such resolutions only serve as notice to the federal government that they are breaching the federal constitution.
On Saturday, August 1st, 2009, a small group of Ohioans took the first steps to launch a formal Sovereignty Amendment to the Ohio Constitution. Unlike a State Resolution, this amendment, if successfully established, would have the force of law and incorporate language in the Ohio Constitution that expressly states the sovereignty of the State over all matters not delegated by limited enumeration of powers in the U.S. Constitution to federal government. It further states the relationship, duties, powers, and limitations of authority between the people of Ohio and their State government.
Throughout American history, the Supreme Courts, through their decisions, have recognized the supreme authority of the people over their governments. But, at no time in history, except in the English Magna Carta of 1215, has such bold language been introduced that explicitly defines the relationship between the people and government, and establish mandates for government compliance, as the fundamental law.
This project is truly a grassroots effort, meaning that it has been initiated by average people, having no political clout or financial backing, for the sole purpose of saving our Republic and holding government accountable to the people. If this project is to succeed, it will because the people of this country are tired of a runaway government that has continuously usurped the rights and liberties of the people in the name of public safety and welfare. We say, “BULLSHIT!” It was never intended that the people should sacrifice their freedoms for the purposes of socialism or the private interests of corporations. It is time to set things back to their proper order.
For decades, the people have petitioned their elected officials, pleaded their causes, cried in vain, without satisfaction. While there are a few dedicated officials who work diligently on behalf of their constituents, I believe many would agree that most have failed in their official duty and oath to adhere to the mandates and limitations of our constitutions.
Today, we find ourselves in severe turmoil, bankruptcy, endless wars, and scorned by the rest of the world due to our unlimited policing actions and control of the world economy. In essence, America has become the world bully.
As an American, I did not approve this conduct, nor did I approve any action that resulted in a usurpation of our rights. I have complained, but I am only one voice.
Our system functions on the premise that the government can do whatever it wants, and if the people do not complain or object sufficiently, it is deemed that the people approve by their silence. This can be allowed to happen, no more. The people have spoken through our Constitutions, but the government has failed to listen and take heed.
Therefore, our plan is to introduce in the Ohio Constitution, express language that holds all government officials strictly accountable for their actions, at the risk of sanctions when they abuse their limited delegated powers and authorities. It will mandate that all Ohio laws be constitutionally compliant BEFORE they are enacted and enforced against the people. It will mandate that Ohio government hold the federal government accountable to the U.S. Constitution and protect all Ohioans from federal abuse. And, it will establish a mechanism whereby every law is open to direct challenge, without cause, in the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Simply stated, this proposed amendment will provide Ohioans the tools whereby they can understand and apply the rule of law against government.
What if this project spreads throughout America , and peoples of all the States followed our lead. The people must understand that by gaining control of the States, the States can be empowered to hold the federal government accountable.
Time is running out. The feds are moving in quick haste to usurp our last means of protecting ourselves and placing us in perpetual economic servitude. What will you do to stop it?
There is much to be done. We need volunteers in nearly every area of expertise, from website and graphics design, public relations, fund raising, networking, operations, and so on. This is our chance, a chance to once and for all proclaim our sovereignty by the supreme law of every state.
We already know people are slammed with all manner of conflicts, problems, challenges, responsibilities, etc. We say, “Do it anyway!” If this project fails, all those problems are going to magnify, and we could potentially lose our greatest opportunity to set our government affairs in proper order. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and the nations of the earth. The positive results of a successful campaign cannot be over-emphasized.
Everyone can help in some way, if only to gather a few signatures on our petition, send us a couple of bucks to cover expenses, spread the word, write your government officials to support this effort, contact the media, host an event, and on and on. If you believe in saving America , then act like an American and fight for your rights and the rule of law. Once this boat sinks, it is gone!
I know the spirit of America is alive and strong. We need every voice and every hand working in unison. Make this your own cause, your own destiny, and be able to say in the end, you helped save the greatest country ever devised by man.

This week, Tennesse Governor Phil Bresden signed House Joint Resolution 108 (HJR0108), authored by State Rep. Susan Lynn. The resolution “Urges Congress to recognize Tennessee’s sovereignty under the tenth amendment to the Constitution.”
The House passed the resolution on 05/26 by a vote of 85-2 and the Senate passed it on 06/12 by a vote of 31-0.
Six other states have had both houses of their legislature pass similar resolutions - Alaska, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma and Louisiana - but Tennessee is the first to have such a resolution signed by the Governor.
Re-enforce the countries Constitution and you wouldn’t have to do this. I realize it must be done at this time but by re-enforcing the Constitution it would help all states.

Declaration of Individual Sovereignty
Be it known that I, _______________________, the undersigned, do hereby declare myself to be a sovereign individual under the provisions of the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America and that I reserve for myself all the rights and powers conferred upon the People of the United States of America by the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, which states:
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,
nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively,
or to the people.”
Recognizing that both the Federal Government of the United States of America and the governments of the several States derive their just powers to govern from the consent and will of the People, and that the People may reserve the right to throw off the bonds of servitude and oppression of a tyrannical government, as per the guarantees made in the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights, it is the incumbent duty of all the People to declare such tyrannical governments null and void according to the provisions and limitations imposed upon those governments by the Constitution of the United States of America and to either seek to establish a new and just government in adherence to the Constitution of the United States of America or, if that has become no longer possible, to declare themselves, each one, an individual sovereign entity beholden to no governance save for their own.

“Urges...?” So in actuality, it means little more than “please, Mr. Big Brother, play nice!” Swell.
The feds will unzip and urinate all over these resolutions.
The house’s vote of 85-2 for a “resolution “ would turn into 2-85 should it become a vote for a real law. IMO this is not much more than an effort to calm us down and go back to business as usual.
A resolution means as much as telling a date you love her *before* she drops her drawers. It’s what happens in the morning that counts.
Nice try... but I think this will fly about as far as a lead zeppelin. Think of the chaos when every individual follows this course of action... there would be no continuity of law and we would fall into anarchy. Ironically, this course of action is identical to the Utopian goals of Marxism, where there is supposedly an eventual dismissal of all government and every person becomes his own master... Obviously an ideal that can never be realized.
