The left has launched a massive campaign to destroy Glenn Beck who right now, and along with Rush, is the most eloquent, fearless and effective warrior standing between Barack Obama and a collectivist state. The politics of personal destruction is what the left does best and in many ways it is all the left does. Purge as in defame and then dispose of your political enemies is a term that leftists invented in the 1930s when Stalin staged show trials of his political enemies, defamed and demonized them, and then buried them.

I think that the birth certificate is significant and should pursued. BUT - think about this - if Beck and others prove that Obama is not eligible to be President, what happens? We get Joe Biden and it's business as usual. The commie thugs are still running the show. And of course, if it turns out that Obama is shown to be eligible, we've wasted a lot of time and effort to gain nothing. Plus, Beck takes a hit and we lose an effective mouthpiece.
I think he's far more effective doing what he's doing - exposing the democrat party as the criminal, communist empire that it is. Methodically, taking down one or two at a time, he's effectively linking the underworld with those that are trying to lead this country in the wrong direction. He's exposing the whole gang of thugs, instead of just one. Pelosi, Reid, Franks, Dodd, Obama - and many others are implicated in Beck's works. If he misses on one or two, he's still got credibility because he's already got a few victories under his belt.
Let others pursue the birth certificate issue in the background. Let Beck continue to work at systematically destroying the democrat mafia machine. He's very effective at that.
I think Rush and Levin are worried that Beck is trying to promote a 3rd party.
I think with Levin...its Beck’s closeness with Bill O’Reilly (the FR hating Bill O’Reilly)
Levin made a comment on his show ...that his book sold 1 million copies “but never was invited on the Fox News 5 PM and 8 PM show” > I am sure he was linking up Beck and O’Reilly...
(note that Levin has appeared on other FNC programs, besides Hannity, about his latest book)
Some of us have style issues with both guys, but there's no good reason for Levin to slam Beck. For the sake of the larger cause, Levin ought to take his sour criticism outside. Beck is doing a world of good right now.
I agree
The Great One doesn’t need to use his airwaves to play into the divide and conquer strategy of the radical left. Do not eat our own young.
Levin is very smart but he's a bit weird around the edges. Although maybe not as much as Savage who seems to be a couple tacos short of a combination plate at times.
There's no reason in the world these guys should bash each other. Each is different and each has their own audience - much of which overlaps.
Can't conservatives just get along? ;0)
IMO, Hannity jumped into this Acorn video issue when he saw how well Beck was doing. Bottom line is ratings. One time last week Beck said Hannity would have a video on his show. He then looked at the camera and said something about being a TEAM. Hannity is all about self promotion first. I am very sorry TGO has jumped in and put down Glen. We should all be working together, possibly each one on different points and go at the admin. that way. JMO
However, when Beck smited the Birthers, and claimed BOR was his friend....that is a problem. I think the problem of working together may be something Beck will need to address
“Having the president on” can mean different things. To the English it means something like “bamboozling the president” or “faking the president out.”
Having followed Glen for a while I can imagine him sitting down to do an interview and asking the President the hard hitting questions and letting the President answer in his own words from previous speeches. That would make more sense.
Philosopher and gumshoe activist. Two different characters, and both very effective. As I said to my husband yesterday when we were comparing them: The Lutheran and the Baptist.
Screw BOR. The only reason Beck is on his show is because FOX has different hosts visit other shows. He also appears on Fox and Friends every Tues or Wed.
Actually that dirtbag BOR is always nasty to Beck.
I don’t really want a 3rd party either, but unless the GOP gets back to a Constitutional strategy, a 3rd party will happen.
I loved Levin’s book. I bought it. It was also very successful.
Bottom line for me is there is room for all of them. If they have their separate issues with each other, it is best to let that slide and say nothing.
As for the O birth issue? I do not believe O is a natural born citizen. So far nobody has gotten anywhere with it. I looks less likely they will until maybe 2012.
If all of these talk show hosts took up that issue daily they would get no farther than Orly Taitz has. The coverup is so complete.
On that note, Sarah's latest:
The Constitution of the United States was created by the people of the United States composing the respective states, who alone had the right. - James MadisonToday marks the 222nd anniversary of the formation and signing of our Constitution. The United States Constitution is one of the greatest founding documents in history because it charted a bold new path in the realm of political theory. Not only does the Constitution establish checks and balances within the federal government, it also divides power among the federal government, the states, and the people. The Founders understood that it is the nature of government to grow at the expense of the peoples liberty; and with that in mind, they established a form of government that would be limited in scope and power in order to maximize power to the people.
Today, lets also take the opportunity to thank our armed forces. The weight of defending our liberty rests on their shoulders, and because of their efforts and sacrifice, we can celebrate the 222nd anniversary of the formation of our Constitution.
- Sarah Palin
You mean this?
For me, the most sickening aspect of the anti-Beck campaign is the eagerness of some conservatives to join in. The Time Magazine story was written by David Von Drehle, whose rhyming drivel was once a regular feature of National Review (the only serious poor judgment of which Bill Buckley was ever guilty). This phenomenon is the conservative Stockholm Syndrome. Held hostage by a leftwing media, some conservatives think that by dissociating themselves from Rush Limbaugh under attack, or Sarah Palin, or Joe Wilson or innumerable others, they can get their enemies to like them. The spectacle is pathetic and disgusting and the hope fatuous.
Questions raised by whom?By FReepers and IMO they're borderline trolls.
They'll say he 'hurts' the conservative movement with his "crying", or for being a recovering Alcoholic and talking about it (but that's what recovering alcoholics do). A few days back one FReeper said he was a "drug addict" (news to me).
Apparently the Godless ones have infiltrated usYes they have. And most seem to have that Aug '08 FR 'born on' date. (Or around that month but always in 08)
but we have not infiltrated them.Ah! But some of us have :-)
And IMO we all should, it's a great idea. At Huff-Po there are few conservatives and we don't get banned on sight. Just respond intelligently with no cussing. Newbie comments are 1st reviewed by the Mods and don't get immediately posted. But I've never NOT had a response comment not posted after review. DU is tougher and at Media Matters I'm still figuring that place out, I just signed up there a week ago or so.
But we can infiltrate them. It just takes patience reading that moonbat nonsense and not having your head explode ;-)
Beck's main contribution has been to seek out people with something to say, and allow them to say it to a national audience -- which is NOT a small thing.
When running for Senate , I think Obama team (Axelrod)
maneuvered to have his opponents Divorce records made public, this enabled Obama to win.
Yes.
You,re right. More investigative reporting like what Big Government and Andrew Breitbart have done.
I heard Andrew in an interview. He said he intentionally released Acorn tapes over a weeks time, to expose the media non-coverage of facts that are not pro Obama.
Beck is a hypocrite. Hes all for the Constitution while at the same time ridiculing anyone who demands BO abide by Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution that requires proving he is a natural born citizen.
Excuse me for butting in but Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution doesn't require 'proof'. It 'just' states the the person shall be a "Natural Born Citizen".
I admit I'm not up to speed on what the 'Birther' position is.
Can you tell me what the question is, or are, regarding Barry's citizenship?
Thanks.
Infiltrate. And drive wedges and internal divisions.
