Did take Bo out to the lake Wednesday. Had a great time. My uncle and Aunt from New mexico came up here for a visit thisa week. Visited with Chuck.
Not muhc else going on.

A little better than earlier in the week. A couple of minor incidents (didn't seem minor at the time, of course), but they look like the should iron out.
I have a freshmen class that isn't showing the slightest signs of New School Timidity. They walk into the room like they own the place and think they're still running junior high. I reigned them in a little today. Phone calls will be starting soon.
It's a living. At least, I'm not in the desert getting shot at. I'm in Brooklyn...
Oh, and they were filming Ugly Betty two blocks away from us yesterday, but I didn't realize what was going on at the time. Ah, well.

Yes. The fires missed us... so far... and the Mrs.’ new bionic knee is not 100% yet, but it is coming along.
How are things in the far north? Had enough daylight to last you for a while, yet?

I have never seen a Blackbird, but always wanted to. Amazing aircraft! There is one in the USAF Museum at Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton Ohio. Just across the highway from Huffman Prairie, where the Wright Brothers flew: kites, gliders and finally powered aircraft.
That's a Wright B Flyer. The photo was taken at Huffman Prairie. There is one of those in the museum too.
The facilities of my unit, Foreign Technology Division, now National Air & Space Intelligence Center was very near the prairie, on the Patterson side of the base, IIRC (It was 26 years ago, and I haven't been back).
There is also a Blackbird in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in DC, and out at Beale AFB in California. Here's a Link to a REALLY BIG photo of it
The photo below is the Smithsonian's SR-71 being moved from storage as Dulles Airport. Gives a good feel for the SIZE of the beast.
