And at least in Texas, you can get CLE credit for reading American Lawyer and other such fluff. I mean, really, it’s not THAT hard.
For only about 1/3 of required CLE. The rest you've got to pay for...through the nose.

I’ve always suspected that this is just odd language used by the IL bar. IOW she requested inactive status because she was no longer doing trial work, and when you do that the court makes an order relative to the license.
I have my doubts there is anything here.

When Obama ran against Jack Ryan for Senate in Illinois they managed to get Ryan’s sealed divorce records released...someone should work on getting her law licence revocation details released....after all, if it’s good for the goose.....

My guess - and this is just a guess - is that they didn’t keep up with continuing educatiopn requirements and therefore are no longer on the list of “active” attorneys.Nah. No one would have that sealed, unless that's just normal practice for all revocations. If it took an extra effort to have them sealed, it has to at least look bad for the individual. Might be no there, there, but it would have to at least look bad on the surface or they wouldn't bother.

The company I used to work for put on CLEs at least once a month. It was free for all our lawyers, and we provided catered lunch. We even opened the sessions to non-firm lawyers - if you knew one of our lawyers, you were welcome to attend our CLEs.
And STILL many of our guys complained (to me personally, as if I had any say in anything) that we didn’t offer them enough opportunity.

If she is starting to spearhead health reform it is important to know what happened.
I guess this would not be available under the FOIA. Could anyone sue to get it disclosed?
